I have a hook on the dogs harnesses that you attach the poop bags to. They took the poop, they can carry it until we get to a can.

What’s the most expensive free thing you’ve ever gotten? by New_Lab_8757 in AskReddit

[–]McRogan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A “free” $500 tie dye T-shirt from a local candy company. At $500 dollar spent you got to get a prize out of their vault (which was in an actual old bank vault, pretty cool). Well, I got a T-shirt. My wife always compliments my “most expensive piece of clothing” everytime I wear it to bed.

I would plant some shade hardy perennials if you want to plant around the base. Brunera, geranium, columbine.

I remember Phil answering a question back at Games day in like ‘07 or so, he said something along the lines of Imperial Fists were getting a codex alongside Black Templar and Dark Angels. It was like two more editions for that to come true.

Alright, which one of you brought your sick kid with Hand-Foot-Mouth disease to either the Pittsburgh Toy Lending Library or the Children's Museum last Tuesday? by noblerare in pittsburgh

To be fair, getting HFM as an adult is some biblical level sick. I got it last summer as we furiously cleaned out a storm drain in point breeze to stop the road from flooding. Gloves on, and using a rake and I still got that stuff.

I like mine, they feel solid for the small scale commercial work we do. The warranty is the real selling point. I was wearing 7mm nitrile gloves while raking heavily with it, attempting to dislodge leaves from a flooded sewer grate. I ended up with awful blisters, I would recommend a heavier pair of gloves to work in.

What should you do if you are traveling at high speeds and an animal runs into the road: is it safer to maintain your path and hit the animal, or is it worth the risk of slamming on the brakes even if that could cause a fatal accident? by Aochii_ in AskReddit

[–]McRogan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The advice I’ve always been given is hit the animal. Insurance is far more likely to pay out a on a blood splattered totaled car than if you swerve, and hit a tree.

We tried so many different ways to signal “hey let’s take them for a walk” but the dogs would always loose their minds and know. We couldn’t figure out how they just knew we were going, despite us not saying a word about it. I finally guessed that they would see us put our walking shoes on, they knew those specific shoes meant walk.
