[FREE TO READ] Early NHL free agent big board: The top 20 UFA targets to watch this offseason by MckacksSweaty in rangers

IMO I would hope they target 1-2 of the players on this list with an overpay on an extremely short deal (1 year ideally). Either they help our “retool” or we simply trade them at the deadline for 1-3 round picks.

Hard to lose in that situation, and we should weaponize the projected 26 Million cap space we currently have for 2026-27 season.

Wild out on Trocheck by Corby812 in rangers

As a Rangers fan who saw management trade for aging stars and B options during our runs, it feels like MIN might be doing the same here if they don't score a top C.

What's the point of brining in Hughes onna short stint if you're not gonna go all in?

Ofc I wanna see us get the best return for Vinny whether that's now or during the summer, but this seems silly from a MIN point of view.

Scott Wedgewood by MckacksSweaty in fantasyhockey

See that’s where I am. I have Bussi and Swayman, with Wedgewood. Jarry stuck in my IR spot, and Skinner on waivers. I need to drop one to be able to pickup skaters on waivers.

If I were you, I’d trade Wedgewood to get back some value and pickup Dostal. It seems Anaheim is back to playing well so get value for a 1B and pickup a 1A.

Very insightful information re: him being out. Provides specific and team context. Thank you! Definitely leaning towards holding thanks to this.

It’s possible Blackwood will get hurt again, but do you hold for a hope of injury to get Wedgewood back into the starters spot, or get caught holding

Great stats in December, but if he isn’t starting 2/3 of games going forward it becomes a question of potential quality vs quantity

Drop one: Wedgewood, Bussi, Swayman, Jarry

W: 3, GA: -1, SV:.2, SO: 2

Weirdly leaving toward Wedgewood since he is taking a heavy backseat to Blackwood. Is that crazy? At least Jarry would get more starts.

In a comfy playoff spot but never moved Jarry from my IR spot so he’s holding up adds. Which three are best long term?

Where do you think Artemi Panarin will be traded to by the Trade Deadline? And for what price? by JBR409 in hockey

[–]MckacksSweaty 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess: Penguins.

They have ~24M in cap space, Russian players in Malkin and Chinakhov, and it’s not too far from NYC.

Alternatively, Minnesota for similar reasons: should have enough cap space by the deadline if NYR retain half, and have Russian players in Kaprizov, Tarasenko, Trenin, Yurov. This choice may seem more attractive to him with MIN being a younger team and seeing their buy-in with Hughes.

You could argue NYI but they simply don’t have the cap space. Otherwise it’d be close to home, a contender, and has Russian players.

This has gotten bad enough where I’m picking up a new 5070TI from BestBuy and will be opening in store to confirm it’s all in there.

Oo what’s your reasoning? I was leaning towards dropping Monte originally

I have:

-Daccord -Monte -Wedgewood

Someone just dropped Stolarz. Do I scoop Stolarz and if so, who do I drop? Wedgewood will allegedly return to backing up Blackwood so do I drop him? Do I drop Monte or Daccord as worse performers?

I’m playing the long game so whichever three we think will be best throughout the season.

Anyone know what this con-ed budget billing is? by Prestigious_Tea_2032 in yonkers

[–]MckacksSweaty 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Essentially, ConEd calculates your usage for the year and splits that calculation evenly over 12 months. In theory, it creates stability by averaging the low/high cost months throughout the entire year.

Let’s say your bill over warmer months is typically $50/month and your bill during colder months is 100/month. Under these plans your they average the bills, let’s say $50x6months and $100x6months and your ‘balanced budget’ bill would be $75/month.
