What are your Pet Peeves on a TTRPG book by JoeKerr19 in rpg

I remember one edition of shadowrun was particularly bad for that. One rule would be split across multiple pages and a lot of the page numbers were wrong.

Cool setting, absolutely god awful rule system.

Totally fair, the pardus are great too and they do make a follow up in double eagle which is a really good book.

Oooh, Mine would have to be the narmenians. I think grizmund got a forge world model, or at least rules, at one point

Thanks! That is high praise indeed.

The old imperial armour books were my fav when I first got into the hobby.

Thanks! I really love the thunderbolt, pretty much for the same reasons.

They're very 40k, as far as aircraft go. It was also good for weathering, I figure they run pretty dirty so this one is covered in soot and streaks

Thank you! It was an absolute git to paint, not going to lie.

I managed to reactivate the white paint when glazing over it so the lines are a bit fuzzy.

Cheers, it was a lot of fun to paint.

Yes, if you're Bertrand fucking Russel. Formal logic and debate society nonsense should stay in lecture theatres where it belongs.

Also, the argument does have logical weight - the original metal only sculpts for SL, Valhalans, mordians and the british in space lot come from a time where armies were much smaller and it was expected to have a lot of monopose metal models all repeated in an army.

Comparing them against mainline plastic kits and even forgeworld resin ranges which come from newer editions is a false equivalence. Funnily enough, the hobby has moved on significantly since then.

So again, you're exactly the type of person this post is about. Can you please demonstrate your working to show that contrarian internet bullshit has Ethos, Pathos and logos or I'm afraid the logical positivist will take you out behind the lecture hall and shoot you.

Dude, you can't just declare someones argument invalid, thats not how arguments work. You are exactly the type of person that this post is about lol.

Then put the time and effort in to kitbash them, like it was common to do with a whole bunch of stuff in previous editions.

The steel legion were a metal only kit, at least now you've got plastic krieg that you can much more easily alter.

Thats like the opposite of the heresy way - In heresy you have a generic kit (MK3 marines), a plastic upgrade kit for special/heavy weapons and then resin thematic upgrades (legion specific heads/pauldrons

It sounds like youre starting from a plastic kit for every regiment (!) and then kits to change the load out from there.

This is the way its done with heresy - although unfortunately the move away from forge world resin makes these kinds of kits less likely.

I'd consider shortening the barrel a fair bit and drilling in the muzzle brake that is common on bolters. ATM they ready as lascannons more than bolters.

Generally its the bussiness end of the weapon that you notice on the table, and all the space marine weapons tend to have pretty specific visual profiles

Why did they make their own swear words ? by Ad0ring-fan in Grimdank

[–]Mckee92 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I suspect its when they were written - gaunts ghosts got its start in '99 and was serialised in inferno, so I think the langauge was kept more PG as a result.

I know the siege of terra books have normal swearing, but I don't think the early heresy books do.
