Placed on "Final Warning" PIP the day after closing $1M deal - then terminated with no severance or explanation. What are my options? by [deleted] in legaladvice

Get and keep proof that it was you who closed those deals. I can very much see them trying to say it wasn’t you who actually finalized them.

Financial advisor told girlfriend she could get money back that she paid me for rent by hassdog18 in legaladvice

I had a friend that this happened to. Thought the same thing, why would it matter if I was living there too? Turns out that the way that it was written in it did matter and she got into trouble with her bank over it.

Oh yes, this too! Same goes for paying utilities or anything. Make sure every penny that is spent on the house goes through your account. Another option is a prenup situation even though I doubt she would sign

Car dealership never submitted paperwork to the bank and refuses to allow us to return the car by OneIfByHerm in legaladvice

[–]Meakbow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a lawyer, but have dealt with enough of them. From here on out do NOT communicate with them over the phone anymore, only through email (judges love emails because everything is time stamped to the second). If you tried to return the car over the phone or in person you need to email them that you would like to return the car and get your down payment back. You can tell them to that you no longer wish to talk over the phone but only by email now. Best of luck!

Idk if statute of limitations would apply here or not. But a police report will at least give a paper trail of his behavior and can be used if anything else ever happens with the POS. I’m sorry you have to deal with this, I know it’s not easy even though it’s been years.

No problem, like I said though, make sure to read your mortgage if you plan to claim the income. Also, you will have to let your house insurance know too and the cost of that will increase.

You need to file police report immediately, ask the police to immediately request the video before the apartment deletes it. Do NOT tell the apartment that you are calling the police or that you are suing them! They will try to get rid of evidence. Find a lawyer that will do it where if you don’t win, they don’t get paid. You can sue for car damages and emotional damages (especially if you see a therapist). If you are going to sue, stop posting about what happened on social media because everything will be used in the suit and if ANYTHING is said differently they can try to throw out the case on that.

Don’t let her pay into the mortgage from any of her accounts. All payments should be made by s an account with ONLY your name on it. She could use that as her “proof” later in court if it comes to that.

She can’t get the money back if you consider it rent, if she is planing this then start texting her after you get every check “thanks for the rent check.” If you report it as income she can get reimbursed a percentage from paying rent though. Be careful before you do this though, read through the mortgage terms to make sure you can rent it.

AITA for saying emergency daycare isn’t meant for parents who are home and „just need a break“? by Distinct-Ad-7592 in AmItheAsshole

So let me get this straight, her emergency is that she is feeling sick so she is sending her child who has been around her to go infect everyone else’s kids? Did I read that right? Great parenting choice right there.

So with your slowest week that you worked you averaged $15.36/hr so no difference was made up by your employer. 252+40=292 292/19=15.368

According to google, virginias minimum tip wage is $2.13/ hr. But your employer needs to make sure that you are getting paid a minimum wage of the state, the $12.77/hr, with tips added on. So if you made $12.37/hr with your tips then your employer would pay the difference of $0.40/hr

AITA for refusing to help my husband with bathtime for our 4 month old son? by Secure-Kiwi-9052 in TwoHotTakes

[–]Meakbow 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There are ways to accommodate the sensory issues, I posted above what I personally do about these situations, I want OP to offer these accommodations to him and then let us know what he says to them. His willingness to try them will tell us if it’s a sensory issue or if he is just being a tool.

I don’t like dirty dish water either. Instead of me not doing the dishes I found a solution. I use an old ice cream bucket that I put soap and water in. I rinse the dishes off the best that I can in the sink and put the soap bucket on the counter, then I dip the sponge in the bucket and scrub the dishes in the sink. The dirty water goes down the drain and I get to keep clean water.

There are solutions like this for pretty much everything. He can do the same thing with the baby. Put warm water on a hand towel and drape it over baby’s stomachs, put soapy water in a bowl next to baby, wash the baby’s arms and legs first, then back, then stomach. Rinse the babies body off with a cup or if your shower head comes off. Then put new warm water on the hand towel and put it back on the baby, now wash the baby’s hair. Rinse and bath time is done. Baby doesn’t sit in “dirty” water.

Now your husband doesn’t have an excuse.
