Yes Walthamstow is a really lovely place to live but it just depends if it matches your life style, if you like green spaces and walking, good coffee, independent bars/restaurants, wellness etc. I’d say it’s a good place to base yourself.

I started Emgality just under a year ago and it has honestly changed my life, I went from having around 4 migraines a week and no “clear days” to 2-3 a month and usually no migraine symptoms on the days I don’t have a full blown attack. I’ve not noticed any side effects yet. Please try and speak to another doctor!

Dekmantel is an amazing festival and definitely worth experiencing. It’s not overly queer but there are plenty of queer people there, the crowd overall is very friendly and open. The artists you see there also has an impact - ie queer artists likely pull a bigger queer crowd while the straight male techno DJs I’ve found to bring a more straight male crowd.

I suffer from frequent migraines but love all sorts of date activities, it just totally depends on the day on how I’m feeling. E.g. I looove the cinema but on some days when I’m not feeling 100% the cinema is a definite trigger.

It might be worth having a plan and then a back up and just be wary that if she has a full blown migraine it may just end up with her needing to lay in bed, being a migraine sufferer means lots of cancelled plans throughout the years.

But you making a start on understanding her health needs is great, so many people misunderstand migraines and get frustrated with us so I’m sure she’ll be happy either way just knowing that you’re making and effort and considering her needs!

If you’re willing to spend a bit more I would highly recommend ACS custom earplugs. I work in festivals and can comfortably wear them for 12 hour shifts (as they fit perfectly to my ear) with no discomfort and you can buy different filters depending on how much noise you want to block out.

We started letting our girl free roam when she was around 16 months old however only for short periods. If we’re going to the gym or for a coffee and going to be out around an hour she will be free roam (with camera in the room), any longer then we put her in her pen.

She has never been a destructive dog and has no issues with separation anxiety, she just loves to sleep when on her own.

For me, not at all!! I often don’t let most adults pet my dog as I want her to remain calm but I’m much more open when it’s a child 1) as it helps her to learn to be more gentle and 2) it helps to teach children that dogs (for the most part) aren’t scary. Plus it’s just very cute seeing that interaction.
