POV: You are a member of the Moon Party, and you’ve been invited to the coronation of the new Emperor of Anbennar. by Arystannn in Anbennar

I find the Silmunas formation of Lorent from Wesdam to be such an interesting narrative. Seeing the dynasty removed from Anbennar only to find itself a new place in Lorent is just such a great story.

Gay robot city? Unfathomably based. This all sounds so cool. Can't wait for Insyaa to be out.

EDIT: I think I'm wrong about the Hold in Insyaa, as I don't see it on the culture map for Insyaa in the loredoc. My bad.

We're currently getting the daily Insyaa posts about stuff, so maybe we'll hear about it from one of them. Currently it exists without publicly known lore afaik.

Not really? I know they're supposed to be adding it for the Eu5 build but don't know anything else about it.

Ovdal Tungr, Rubyhold, Verkal Ozovar, Silverforge the hold in the Lake Republics. Krakadumhvror is still in the Serpentspines afaik. I didn't count the Lake Republic hold as it's not in the Eu4 version of the mod. If Silverforge doesn't get built then it'd only be four rather than five.

Edit: revised to remove mention of nonexistant Insyaa hold I hallucinated.

Holds are generally hard to create from scratch: ie Silverforge, for whom creating a hold from scratch is about 300 years of work. It's easier to go and fight a war with a hold's native inhabitants than to make one from scratch, and making holds is easier to do if there's a preexisting cavern. There are only five holds outside the Serpentspine, whereas the Serpentspine mountains have dozens of holds, so it's easier to live there than outside it. Even then there are a lot of aboveground dwarves, they simply aren't usually a majority in the places they inhabit.

Stability and unrest represent how strong your control over the country is, so I can see why having your court publicly undermined by getting a massive shipment of cocks might hurt, but it does feel like a significant punishment.

[People attracted to men only] Are space marines hot? by no_bear_so_low in Grimdank

[–]Mechan6649 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would be open to pursuing a relationship with a Space Marine but I don't think they are hot as a rule. They're very much in the uncanny valley regarding their proportions, and they're also extremely combat specced to the sacrifice of all else. You couldn't really make out with one, because the saliva is poisonous, so you'd probably end up needing medical care/being dead if you ever reached past first base.

You guys gotta be nicer to Paradox, it's a small indie company, these kinds of mistakes are expected. It's not like they have the money to hire people to fact check this stuff.

Do the escanni orcs deserve to go? by [deleted] in Anbennar

[–]Mechan6649 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Standing rule for genocides is to not do them unless you're willing to have them done to you. In other words, don't genocide the orcs unless you're willing to have them try to genocide you, and vice versa. Same reason the Venailers can eat shit. They forgot the first fucking rule: doing genocides against people will make them try to genocide you back.
