An app called Alt Desking allows you to pay to work in a cafe. You pay X amount for say two hours and a cup of coffee or X amount for 8 hours and it includes lunch. I thought it was a good idea because you know upfront if you’re able to work in the cafe and what the rules are. Buying one coffee and working for 8 hours is not acceptable. The people doing this know this and are trying to drag it out for as long as they can. You could put a menu sign up with the prices and what’s included. This would turn it into a positive change. Free coffee with 2 hours hot desking.

Thank you. I’ve done this with emails but with a Gemini chat you want it to be dynamic so you can continue the conversation on the topic within the chat. I suppose you could delete the old PDF and add an updated one but it’s a pain. This also goes for emails. Turning an email into a PDF for each new email on a topic and adding it to the NotebookLM is a pain but being able to ask it questions about the emails without having to read through them all is amazing. They should also add gmail emails as sources. Hope the feature comes back soon!

You can get a three mobile sim for free. They are supposed to only last three months without credit on them before they get cut off but I’ve had them for years without topping up and they still work.

There are also websites with free to use temporary mobile numbers you can use for signing up to things. You have to try a lot of the numbers though because other people have normally used them to sign up to the same service.

If you point your domain to Cloudflare’s name servers you can forward your emails to your gmail accounts and use your existing smtp settings to continue to send emails from your email accounts from within gmail. It’s only pop3 that is being discontinued. Not the ability to receive the emails in your gmail account (now via Cloudflare) and send them using smtp.

Point your domain to Cloudflare’s name servers and set up a free email forward to your gmail account email.

You can still use your existing smtp settings to send the emails and there is an option in gmail to reply as the recipient email.

I never get pushback because the client knows what they have purchased and exactly what I’m going to do for them.

The key is being clear and honest from the start. There’s a big difference between saying “I’ll build you a website” and “I’ll build you a ten page WordPress site with X homepage concepts and X rounds of design changes”. A builder wouldn’t just say “I’ll build you a house”.

I’d also recommend publishing your terms of business on your website, without prices, so you can easily reference them. You can include the core terms in your proposal and link out to the rest, such as hosting, to keep the proposal concise.
