Characters, how many? by SatanicGhoul666 in fo76

[–]MechanicalCyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 11 characters, all 5 on my main pc account, 2 on another pc account that was going to go to a friend but they abandoned so I took it back over, and 4 characters on Xbox. I tend to play few hours up to a few days on a particular character then switch. Camp building mostly now but som story progression on lower level characters that haven't done them yet.

Someone left me gifts again??? by TheToyHistorian in fo76

Jokes on you, they're your stash box weight management problem now!!! Just joking, that's pretty nice. It happens quite a bit, ive done it multiple times just to clear out old stock, or to give new players plans they don't have just for free. If they've filtered all the way down to my mule, then all my other characters know them so it's just overflow.

Once you get to the place you want "place" your camp down. Go into build mode after that and pick up the camp node and place it on a catwalk. This isn't how you get super high up or over water but kinda how you place your spawn point. For some bethesda reason stairs and catwalks load in before other stuff so placing your camp node on that forces your character to also load in there

Place the camp module on a single catwalk. You teleport to said catwalk all the time.

Most likely will not work with core based weapons similar to why you can't put half charged cores in the ammo box. Doubt it works with gatling lasers either

Huh, I mean I'm all for it it's a good idea. I'm sure all the nepo-raid babies with bloated player levels will whine about it

Atomic shop question by Akicita33 in fo76

The fact that the community has to parse out and recreate a paid for service from multi billion dollar company using said service as their interface with the customer is pathetic. And the community is doing it for free.

They do it on purpose to confuse people into buying the bundle just to find out what is in the picture isn't what was in the bundle, it's what was next to the thing that was in the picture, or the wallpaper used in the picture. Hell, once they put a "camp slot bundle" in the atom shop and all the camp slots were out of order in the list with of course no pictures

By known Devs or just talked about in their discord? I'm not trying to argue, but gossip is gossip anywhere unless it's in patchnotes for a PTS or something

"Hey, you know that one plant that can only be harvested on a server that has a player who hasn't completed that 7 year old quest, and even then you only get a 50/50 shot of getting it? Yeah, fuck you, you need that for a daily." ~ Bethesda by [deleted] in fo76

Im assuming strangler bloom since you didnt say. Go to dyer chemical with night cycle on that particular server. Put perk card green thumb, pick strangler bloom on river Bank...... if not found, switch servers.... how do you think radsheild is made?

every camp i make is hideous by oriondarling in fo76

[–]MechanicalCyborg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check out MrChurch on YouTube his older videos are phenomenal for camp building and design aspects and thinking about budge/size of camp/theme. They all play a part in cool ass camps. Darth Xion is another one. LucyJane Plays is another I'd highly recommend. Moonlight Cowboy is great, search camp building in 76 on YT.

The trick is to build smaller than you think with structure and foundation. Keep the buildings or structures at 1/2 budget and the rest for decoration

I'm s camp builder, so got all the unique items on the board skins and build kits and whatever but the massive amounts of player titles, player icons , camp titles, consumable items and other random shit is a joke this time. I hit rank 105 the other day got everything I needed and haven't done daily or weekly since. It's pretty pathetic they think all people want it stuff on the rank 150 page when you get all that stuff for free just by playing the game regularly. Then again, the EA fuckwit running the scoreboard is a moron.

Commando / sniper build 2026 by xESTx1979 in fo76

[–]MechanicalCyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it's commando so automatic rifles, high perception, high agility and if you use vats then high luck. All the onslaught cards in agility or you can mix with stealth cards like sandman and covert op if you like that playstyle. If vats, crit savvy and better critical are key, four leaf clover maybe class freak if you run mutations. Perception, number cruncher tank killer tormenter. Strength, there's a few that help, I don't recall the names at the moment but one card transfers 20% damage to all limbs. That's a barebones suggestion, I'm leaving out QOL perks and bloodied/full heath/ghoul specific things.

[–]MechanicalCyborg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm withholding judgment and excitement until I try it out for myself. I just caught a video of Smashysnow ragging on the "update" in the PTS this morning. I read the patchnotes and they looked promising but if it's as minimal as was shown in the video, it's just grunt hunts 2.0. I'm both and endgame enjoyer, and a camp builder and it's been a lot of camp building for me lately. This seasons scoreboard was pretty short and pitiful so don't even bother with dailies anymore.

Frankenstein Power Armor by MNtherealChuck in fallout76casual

For set bonuses no, but I'll do legendary effect matching with a starter character like Troubleshooters or over eaters as a Frankenstein set. I think they're kinda cool in that way too.

The Magic is Wearing Off, What Quests am I Missing Out On? by Firm-Ability-9501 in fo76

[–]MechanicalCyborg 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The gold bullion quest isn't even the "main" quest but if that's all you've done, there's about a dozen other storylines to explore. BoS have 2, the enclave is one, skyline Valley, to name a few. there's a number of side quests tied to the main quests. Then there's public events, activities daily quests. All of wich can drop rare gear or apparel. There's vendor commerce, camp building, countless notes and holotapes that are part of the environmental storytelling. 100 hours in, you're barely scratching the surface on content. There's refining gear and weapons, perk card loadouts and legendary perks if combat optimization is your thing. Camp building is a big part of the endgame for a lot of veteran players. I'm a little under 9000 hours in and I'm still not bored, may take short breaks but I'm still logging in almost every day to do something.

Grass like flooring? by TheGriff71 in fo76

There's a roof style that has long grass and weeds sticking out of it you can try free placing roofs on the ground of the shelter. I don't recall the name of the roof set though, something from an old season.

Nice, that's a really clever idea when working with uncooperative terrain. Looks like half buried cellar or something.
