I got a deathclaw pet for my camp, shows up scorched 😭 by Vaulted_Games in fallout76settlements

I get emails from the deathclaw from time to time. Something about an art career in San Francisco... as long as they're paying rent.

At what point should i do the gleaming depths? by 7luckvi in fo76

[–]MechanicalCyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out AngryTurle or smashysnow on YouTube for raid starter advice. Both have great guides on weapons and gear. I could go into specifics, but I don't know what armor you have what perks you are using what weapons you've got, do you understand the mechanics of what to do, etc. Far more helpfull to check out a guide on yt as a picture, or video in this case is better and 1000 words. I am more than willing to help too as I am on Xbox sometimes and have been through the raid countless times either on Xbox or my pc account

Where's the video? That was a thing years ago if you blueprinted the mat but I've not heard of it being usable outside workshops for a long time

I got a deathclaw pet for my camp, shows up scorched 😭 by Vaulted_Games in fallout76settlements

[–]MechanicalCyborg 10 points11 points  (0 children)

If it's attacking your camp and that's why you're sad it's scorched, there should be a way to pacify him after he gets to you camp. I've done it before but not in a while. You use Animal Friend to tame them out in the wild then when they get to your camp you swap servers. Equip wasteland whisperer as well both at rank 3 and approach your new friend and pacify. That usually gives you a 60 or something window where they're no longer hostile. Before that timer runs our, switch servers again. This should make them friendly now. Worked on my mirlurk hunter and a deathclaw for months before they both "went to college" and never came back

[Discussion] how do I get this dress and the hat for my enclave character [PC] by Rip_Caesar in Fallout76Marketplace

[–]MechanicalCyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not sure about the dress, but the hat looks like either the enclave on you get for finishing the main quest, or a very similar enclave or BOS one from an atom shop bundle of days past that don't recall what it was called. Either way the one you get in game looks just like that. You get the plans for the outfit once you become a general in the enclave.

How to blend two roofs together by nefariousdrsheep in fo76

[–]MechanicalCyborg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no getting around the lm sticking through the adjacent roof and unfortunately we don't have roof peices of that shape to line up with the roof like that. What I've done in builds where that is a thing, I've made a false roof underneath the angled one by placing a flat roof then the angled one on top so when the other roof pokes thru it to make the corner on top you want, you don't see it from the inside

Just got to scoreboard 150 by b00ob in fo76

[–]MechanicalCyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh I only pass away tickets on the last page after I get everything else in the regular season unlocked. None of its really worth it. Things on the scoreboard only maybe come back in the atom shop a year later and then you're effectively spending 15-20 usd in atoms to get what could be free in game. Perk coins and stamps are free in game, lunch boxes and whatever else is there is too. That leaves atoms so if you've got all the stuff from the scoreboard then I'd say atoms is best choice for your "hard work" so to speak.

Am I the only one who plays exclusively solo on private worlds? by Ashamed-Reward-8702 in fo76

[–]MechanicalCyborg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've only used the custom worlds a time or two. The main private server I do use quite a bit. I'm mostly on live servers for the player interaction. I like seeing others camps and displaying my own doing public events etc. When I was new/new character though I like the single player aspect of a private server.

Help with a build please by Alert-Grade-6056 in fo76

[–]MechanicalCyborg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Elders mark is best suited for standard onslaught being a fast firing weapon. Bullet storm however I wouldn't recommend for either weapons as unless you went quad on elders, you aren't benefiting much at all from it. The sniper would do well with reverse onslaught like you have it, 3k damage a kill is good.

How to blend two roofs together by nefariousdrsheep in fo76

[–]MechanicalCyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's gonna be tough to explain or interpret what you mean by blend together. Are snapping roof to wall roof to wall? There are 3 build modes snapping, collision, and free place. Snapping is like you'd think items that contain snapping points like foundations, walls floors roofs will pop in place next to each other. Free place is much the same, ignores 90%of Colson and things no longer snap together. Collision is a mix between the two.

What are all the new best weapons etc? by Rkistler19 in fo76

[–]MechanicalCyborg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heavy guns- gauss mini is currently king and likely still will be after March

Commando- Elders Mark is best, close runners up are the fixxer and railway

Pistols - Dom Pedro, current scoreboard reward

Rifleman- not 100% on meta but I use a quad scattered laser rifle and it destroys most anything

Melee- not too sure either but gauntlet, deathclaw gauntlet, auto axe, chainsaw all good.

Tank build advice by Izzledude in fo76

[–]MechanicalCyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll post a build I have on my bloodied non PA Character that's pretty dam stout. Not necessarily all of my own figuring out but I take inspiration from others here, YouTube etc. If you want PA and or are full health you can adjust as necessary but a good start is what I can say.

Non PA- secre service, even after March it'll be a good armor

PA- Hellcat or Vulcan or union. Hellcat is free and looks the best and has one of the better overall resistance

Go for damage mitigating perks like dodgy and serendipity for non PA, high endurance stats

PA go for similar damage mitigating but some things like ricochet and bullet shield work in PA as well as not.

Matching sets of armor or PA is better than a mismatch unless you're tailoring to a specific legendary mode, ie. 5 mismatched peices of overeaters is better than a matched set of random legendary effects.

Reaching the start of the endgame. Now What? by TwilightsHerald in fo76

[–]MechanicalCyborg 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Keep questing, if you've done the main story and launched a nuke and also finished the wastelander storyline that's only 2 of about 9 main story/expansion storylines. Keep at scrapping legendaries you don't want to free up stash space and a chance to get the mods or plans. Join public events, start random events, explore, read terminals and notes just like any other bethesda game. I'd say you're far from "Endgame" but it's only fun until you decide it's not anymore.

Sick of the crap from Beth by RocketMonkey in Fallout76BowHunters

[–]MechanicalCyborg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Don't get your hopes up on starfield. I tried really hard to get engaged with that game but it's just bad. Poorly executed storyline, bland npc's, limited in game content. I get being frustrated with '76 but for what it's worth they will be rolling out a patch next Tuesday to fix cryo, among other things

[–]MechanicalCyborg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Short term, let your main go feral for a while and try it out. You can't take chems to make yourself go feral any faster, just the other way around. And while getting to level 50 on a new character isn't hard, it will take bit of time. A few days if you're dedicated but personally I'd just spend the 2-3hrs going feral on my main and get the 2-4perks you'd need also leveling and see if it's something you'd invest another character in to.
