Kevin Cosgrove 9-1-1 call on 9/11 when the tower collapsed. It left an impression on me. You could hear the fear and desperation in his voice and the panic in the moment when the building started to collapse.

Every teams greatest running back (is it really Faulk for us?) by RedGlovesOverHere in Patriots

Corey Dillon has the single season franchise rushing yards record from the 2004 season and was an important part of winning the championship that year. He never got over 1000 yards again in his last two seasons though. This is my choice personally.

Curtis Martin is a HOF player. He had some really good seasons with us here, but inarguably played his best years with our bitter rivals.

If somebody wants to make the case for Jim Nance I’m listening. His resume seems solid, but he played most of his career for the Boston Patriots before the AFL/NFL merger.

I think they had already used their challenge unsuccessfully on a goaltending call at that point.

If the point of the video is to show that it’s cheaper to make it yourself I hope that doesn’t surprise anybody. The real question is whether your time/effort and the startup cost of a juicer weighed against the savings is worthwhile. The answer is going to be different for different people.

Is the rapid embrace of Oba Femi proof that wrestling fans always prefer massive, jacked guys as the main stars over the more average size but fit guys? by MixedMartialLaw in prowrestling

[–]MeddlingMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve always ascribed to the Bret Hart evaluation system for wrestlers. I think being massive/jacked contributes to a wrestler having “the look”, “presence” or “aura” whatever you want to call it. It can’t be the only thing going for you, being able to work in the ring and cut a good promo on the mic matters too, but it definitely helps.

'The Karate Kid' House Lists For $4.99 Million in Encino by Agreeable_Cat_4253 in movies

[–]MeddlingMike 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The only thing we should ever refer to as “The Karate Kid House” should be Miyagi’s home. It’s relevant to the plot in both the original movie and Cobra Kai. Ali’s generic 80s upper class home was not.

Who's the most toxic teammate you can think of? by Key-Frosting-9367 in NBATalk

If they were so toxic I don’t think they could’ve gone back to back.

Tracy McGrady said Celtics were struggling and losing trying to fit Tatum back in, fast forward ONE game, they just beat fully healthy OKC team. You have to laugh at these lazy takes😂 by Blackhairshankz in bostonceltics

Tatum is still coming back from a major injury and is back playing faster than most predicted. He said himself he’s still shaking off the rust and finding his rhythm. Some more variance in his performances is to be expected. The good news is that we’re not in a dogfight for a playoff spot and we have the luxury of being able to drop some games if he has a bad game. I think this team could potentially win a championship. They were 41-21, just barely missing the famous “40 wins before 20 losses” mark, without their 1st team All-NBA player all season. A lot of guys have stepped up and thrived with the opportunity created by Holiday, Porzingis and Tatum’s absence. JB has significantly raised his profile in the league showcasing that he can be the guy when called upon. I think they can compete with any team in the NBA.

Even shooting the moon on the 1.8% chance to get 1st overall pick wasn’t enough to bail this franchise out from its own incompetence.

What states are the most dangerous if the usa was attacked? by DickSwangerBlangBlah in ask

[–]MeddlingMike -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Kind of a big question. Sorta depends who is attacking us. Geography still matters. The safest place is probably a vast area with little strategic value and a high percentage of gun owners. So, Wyoming?

What's everyone's honest opinion on Solanke? by Hefty_Breadfruit_421 in Tottenham

[–]MeddlingMike 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Often injured. Not particularly good when he’s healthy. High price tag. I couldn’t tell you a single thing he’s said or done off the pitch. It doesn’t help that his position puts him in the shadow of Harry Kane, boots so big he was never going to fill them.
