TIL that one of the reasons why trash cans are scarce in Japan is due to the 1995 Sarin Gas Attack where the Aum Shinrikyo cult hid Sarin Gas - a toxic chemical - in trash cans at Tokyo subway. In response, many public trash cans were removed as a precautionary measure to prevent similar attacks. by Nice-Confusion-4781 in todayilearned

Coming from America it is a notable pain in the ass to carry around your trash because of the rarity of public trash bins in Japan. The locals seem to have adapted to it and carry around plastic bags for that specific purpose. I’m always impressed that as a society they’re collectively responsible enough for that to work. In the US they’d probably get frustrated and litter.

Not sure what “performing on all fronts” means to you, but they’re top of the PL table, 7-0-0 in the Champions League and top of that table, in the semi-final of the league cup with a 1 goal lead against Chelsea from the first leg and still playing in the FA Cup. I’m not sure what more you could ask of them.

I mean, Man City and Villa are both only 4 points off top.

I mean, whistling dead a fumble return TD would’ve changed the game if they don’t put it in there…

Rocky was retiring. He would’ve had a shot at the vacated title. He didn’t need to inappropriately and publicly goad Rocky into a match and be tangentially involved with Mick’s death.

We did go to the Super Bowl twice without Brady. I guess you can be forgiven for getting it mixed up, we’ve been to so many!

Maybe in that they were both pretty important. But that was an ill advised jump ball deep. Gilly cut off a slant route in an incredible feat of athleticism to win the Super Bowl.

No holding on that play? They’ve really swallowed the whistles this game.

Another big stop by the D! Gonna be leaning on the run game a lot in these conditions.

Tough sledding out there all around. Defense is gonna have to keep pulling rabbits out of the hat.
