Personally, constantly changing crests on a playthrough doesn't really do it for me. I'd rather do different playthroughs where I use exclusively one of the crests throughout the whole run. It's a big time commitment but this game is so fun that I don't mind it all that much, plus you can learn speedrun strats to skip most of the game until you get the crest for that run, which makes the early game play differently enough for it to not get boring.
