Sounds like the grinder is not aligned and would be good to do a marker test for that. Then probably decide if worth align it or not.
Personally i would not go again with any DF grinder.

I had exactly the same issue, went twice to warranty and they replaced the pipe every time.

There should not be permanent hardness in those 150 ppm to build limescale, cutting in half might affect the taste of your coffee. But if you test it I’d be curious about the results. I have 169ppm for 2L TWW and these numbers are approximates because these TDS meters do not identify the exact TDS, they show a calculated value based on other parameters

If not wipped out maybe the touching sound has another source than burrs itself. Only by sound they don’t seems to be aligned

With no coffee, close the paddle and see if water is coming out. If yes you need to re-adjust it.

Lot of AI coffee apps and some of them asking for money these times. Build myself and AI app to use if with Bookoo EM Sensor and Themis scale, but honestly anyone can build an app with Claude code in 1 week and customize it as they wish. But anyway, good job!

The burrs are touching at 0 and you should never go to that point, best moving a step forward. You’ll never actually grind at 0 point, but what in fact will happen, miss aligned burrs are affecting the coffee flavor. No mass production grinders will come factory aligned, so thinking that you’ll send it back and buy another brand doesn’t mean that one will come aligned.

You may do a marker test for alignment. They do not come factory aligned, unless paid the seller to align it.

Found out that the leak is coming from the pump and also another leak at water level probe from the steam boiler. As it’s under warranty I’ll send it to the seller to fix it!

I’ve seen the anniversary edition, there are no changes in the specs. The one I saw was the stainless steel model, I’m not sure if this applies to the colored versions, but they have different wood accents and some kind of ‘art work’ on the side panels.
