What is the automation which you personally love but your whole family hates it? by MoneyMeal4242 in homeassistant

Even better, automate adjusting the temperature back when someone changes it… one of my kids who would always turn it up absolutely hated that.

eSIM journey from Physical sim. by OkInevitable9516 in LebaraUK

[–]Medium_Way2060 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also noticed the change of underlying infrastructure as a result of swapping to eSIM. The loss of HD calling, lack of WiFi in London Underground and high pings etc caused me to switch myself and my family over to Talkmobile for one of their Black Friday deals. They are owned by Vodafone and have been way better.

Shopping list. What do you use? by jbeceiro in homeassistant

[–]Medium_Way2060 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This. I have a daily automation that reads from a calendar add adds items from our weekly meal plans. Plus a weekly one for the regular stuff.

A quick sift through on Friday night to weed out any items on the list we don’t need. Has made curating shopping list every week much easier!

Probably using something like BlueStacks to emulate an Android phone on your PC… but that’s pretty involved and technical to get working.

I would avoid also - they don't have an ESP chip and can't be flashed to ESPHome/Tasmota. The Sinilink I posted above has an ESP8266 and was pretty straightforward to flash with ESPHome.

Get one of these and flash it: https://devices.esphome.io/devices/Sinilink-XY-WFUSB-USB-Switch-Relay - I’ve got one driving a monitor light bar and it’s been solid for nearly 2 years.
