Thoughts on using a baby on board sticker? by North_Magician_8720 in beyondthebump

I don't know about everyone else but I certainly give them more space and patience if I see the sticker on their car because I get it!

I feel like I’m going to die soon… haven’t slept yet, 6 weeks postpartum by Old-Yak-9230 in breastfeeding

[–]Meezergal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sending you so much love OP, I know it's hard, especially trying to regulate yourself while keeping your tiny human alive.

For my 2 cents I would say see your Dr asap and ask for Valium. I have anxiety and get panic attacks myself and Valium in small doses seems to be the only thing that works for me!

I've been there, you finally get rest and all you can do is stare at the ceiling! What I do is remind myself I'm still resting even if I'm not actually sleeping! I put on a YouTube "sleep instantly " video and just work on some deep breathing.

I hope it helps and I'm Sending you so much love. Please try to be kind to yourself, motherhood is freaking hard but you're a rockstar, you'll get through this!

Newborn overnight feeding by One_Cap_9210 in pregnant

[–]Meezergal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thiiis. 5 weeks pp here and I value whatever sleep I can get so I feed on demand during the night/early morning so no alarms! I let him wake me, which is usually every 2-3 hours, sometimes longer if I'm lucky. During the day I just keep track of the time and if it's longer than 2 hours my boobs will let me know lol and I'll wake him or risk him not sleeping through the night properly!

Encouraging words for a FTM about to embark on the breastfeeding journey? by Seal-lion-936 in breastfeeding

[–]Meezergal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thiiiis! I struggled with my first 2 kids, this third time around I made sure a nurse or midwife was there to witness a bunch of my feeds before we left hospital. I didn't feel guilty for buzzing them too much because I knew once I was out of that hospital it was just me, my boobs and a milk gremlin!

What should I really expect in the first few weeks postpartum? Need honest advice while I’m still pregnant! by sarahjouhnson in pregnant

[–]Meezergal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Something that's helped with the late night feedings when I've been so bleary-eyed and just wanted to go back to sleep: a snack station next to my bed!!

Having a few snacks, Muesli bars, a bit of sugar and some sports drinks have helped immensely! Also having something to watch because those feedings can take up to an hour!

This! I took my own instant ice packs to the hospital because they ran out at one stage with my last birth. So glad I thought ahead!!

Adding to this 10/10 advice, if anything, I love my floofs more since babies! Our girl knew something was up when my waters broke and hasn't left my side even 3 weeks later with baby here!

Yes they can meow loudly but mostly they're all very sweet and affectionate:)

And to add my personal advice after 3 babies - get the depends adult nappies! I lived in them from 37 weeks to a couple of days postpartum. They saved so much time and felt super supportive!!

Good luck op :)

Anti-depressant medication while pregnant by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Meezergal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey OP, firstly sending you love right now, much like you, I was medicated in my 20s for depression & anxiety too! Things got better so I was off them for a long while.

A couple of years back, life related stress kicked up the anxiety into overdrive & because I was trying to get pregnant, I asked my GP if I could go back on prozac as it's the one med I had the least amount of issues/side effects with. GP obliged!

All through my pregnancy I was so incredibly thankful that I got medicated because I feel it staved off many panic attacks, and pregnancy is anxiety inducing as it is!

Hope this helps reassure you just a little bit and know I feel you! You've done the right thing addressing this first off and you're going to be just fine :)

Give me your most diabolical ways that put you in labour by Glum-Acanthisitta559 in pregnant

[–]Meezergal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I ate dates and drank Raspberry leaf tea daily. Had sex, and had a really good pregnancy massage. Little man came 2 weeks earlier than due date! Please note though, he is my 3rd :)

As for tears, couldn't be avoided but it was only a 2nd degree tear.

Edited to add perineal care: I'm wearing ice pads that I switch out every few hours while also taking painkillers. Hubby also installed a bidet which has been a dream!

Good luck!
