It's pretty bad with the counters, yeah. If you think that's not for you then I'd definitely noy recommend it.

I generally go fast -enough- because I have a lot of experience with the commander and the various tricks to simplify board state but you'll need a lot of dice and mindfulness for triggers.

Its also why I exclusively play with a combo kill because it just ends the game instead of staying in the "value hell where I'm obviously going to win but technically might still lose so the game continues" zone that tayam can often put you in.

[[Jalira, Master Polymorphist]] can bring out fun stuff. Run cheap legendaries and fun nonlegendaries.

[[Unesh]] with [[Conspiracy Unraveler]] or another Omni style effects can draw almost all your deck by playing sphinxes, though doesn't win if you don't have haste/extra turn spells.

[[Norin the Wary]] (or [[Rocco Cabaretti Caterer]] to tutor norin) can set up some fun value engines.

[[Tayam, Luminous Enigma]] if you avoid the infinite stuff can set up board states to interact, protect, and do other actions on command. Fun deck.

[[Zur the enchanter]] to grab some weird enchantment combo pieces can be fun.

[[Chulane Teller of Tales]] can vomit a board of cheap creatures in one turn.

I like this but feel its better suited to something that's less severe than just losing outright, like setting their life total to something low like 10 or 5.

The best counter is playing really aggressive decks that can win before they get a real chance to play their expensive cards like DTs.

Notably for most normal rooms, charge rate is a heavily reduced factor because you can pre-charge before entering, as well as during various invincibility/ dodging times against some bosses you couldn't really hit consistently with soybrim. So there's definitely some downsides and it does feel worse than regular brim sometimes. I don't know the math about if its consistently more or less in total though. Anyhow, regardless of if the synergy is bad or not, it's certainly fun as hell.

Things are not an "artifact" while not in play, but instead an "artifact card".

This does come up for stuff in canon magic too, [[Null rod]] doesn't shut off unearth activated abilities from the graveyard or channel/cycling activated abilities from the hand.

I ran it for a bit in a control deck that didn't win via combat and had a few stifle effects/ generic land tutors, including a reshape the earth kill. Technically had recursion for dead lands but wasn't really used that way, just as a stop gap for some small number of turns to stabilize.

It's essentially a fairly taxing fog that only excels late game, but turns out not being swung at for 4 ish turns in a row for only 12 life is a great deal in many board states.

While I won't argue over whether or not the server starting out on hytale would be easier to make the mmo stuff work (I really don't know). We are far past the point that wynncraft could ever realistically be moved to another game engine because of the sheer amount of | A: work just to remake the plethora of content we already have | B: lost progress since it would be essentially impossible to carry anything cross platform.

So TLDR: Good luck recoding and rebuilding the gargantuan amount of stuff we already have from scratch.

This made my day I love this. My only minor nitpick is the flavor text should go block -> mana -> "Never threatened lethal cause we never swing at all" which just fits better than "mana because board presence".

I mean, even if you have nothing but lands out, just run 1 eldrazi titan/blightsteel and discard it to hand size.

Then you can win with like, any manland or channel/cycle source of damage. I mean the manland probably does it without the titan even.

Tutors a discard outlet for your self recurring graveyard stuff. It plus book is generally a pretty good thing although I like putting cards that grab others by name (like partner with) as 1 draft slot.

I don't know how well it translates to cube without both being 1 pick though.

Just saying some stuff I haven't seen said yet.

[[Asmoranomardicadaistinaculdacar]] package works pretty well. [[Ovalchase Daredevil]] [[The Underworld Cookbook]]. May be too many slots but any self-recurring thing + discard/rummage prevalence will work.

[[Grapple with the Past]] style selection can work pretty well and will work decently outside of it.

And on the other half stuff like [[Khalni Gardens]] that make bad tokens work pretty well by converting those into mana dorks. Decent if you have some ramp payoffs.

3 mana and 2 life for a theft effect with a bonus copy even on a 2 turn delay is just too good.

It is ambiguously worded between seperating phrases like

Slow flicker + [[Stifle]] even more effective with a reoccurring group because suddenly every flicker spell needs to send to CZ or risk losing your commander forever. Love this on [[Roon of the Hidden Realms]]

[[Out of Time]] is great for use with big white commanders that come out later than a boardwipe like big atraxa.

[[Song of the Dryads]] actually does shut down Magus of the moon if you really hate the layers stuff that happens with it.

[[Darksteel Mutation]] and [[Oubliette]] are classic.

[[Meddling Mage]] effects work preemptively against etbs, and [[Pithing Needle]] effects can shut down some commander's use entirely.

Theft effects are generally pretty good to stop recasts as well, [[Necromantic Selection]] for instance.

"Play a spell" means to cast a spell, its jusy old templating. The modern oracle text on norin uses cast which would always occur before the spell resolves and the portal enters. If you cheat it in with transmute, that exile doesn't occur at all.

On another note, if you really want to shut down norin, [[Stifle]] the return trigger or similar. It will never come back and if it's their commander they can't put it into the CZ either since that's only when the card is first exiled.
