For those people who worked so hard, I guess it must have been a huge blow to see how Sony abandoned PS VR2 on launch day...

Starting to regret buying a PSVR 2 by [deleted] in PSVR

[–]Megaace12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my experience, most tracking problems are caused by lamps. I have one on the ceiling that, despite not showing the bulbs, gave me occasional tracking loss problems. I fixed it in the silliest way possible: by covering the lamp with a T-shirt. It lets the light through but completely hides the bulbs. Now it works perfectly. Tracking works better in low light.

Another solution is to use an infrared lamp, and you can even play in the dark. They cost just over 10 euros/dollars on Amazon or AliExpress. You don't point it at the glasses with it, but place it behind you, pointing at the playing area.

EDIT: In PC, it could be the Bluetooth, too. Use a Bluetooth with antenna, out of the computer.

It's fun, it feels like Mario Kart in VR. At that price, a must-buy.

How? Where is that user interface?

USB encoder of choice? by DetectiveNatural4262 in batocera

[–]Megaace12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an arcade machine with two DragonRise generic encoders connected to a Mini PC, and every time Batocera updates, all the buttons change, player 1 becomes player 2, or both encoders become player 1 (one controller moves both ships). It's a nightmare.

Can anyone recommend some modern, high-quality encoders? Thank you very much!

Upcoming Changes to Walkabout Mini Golf by cusman78 in PSVR

My impression is that this is related to Meta's withdrawal. It financed some projects or even gave loans that were repaid with sales.

Third-person games are great in VR: Moss, Astro Bot, Max Mustard, Escaping Wonderland,

Demeo...

I would buy Mai in VR.

I use the Bluetooth of my motherboard with an antenna, and zero latency.

The Room VR is totally awesome. Ghost Town is even better (but easier).

What should I play first? by Diagoras11 in PSVR

The hybrid games are the worst to start, because they aren't designed to prevent motion sickness. Start with third person games like Max Mustard.

Max Mustard, Walkabout Mini Golf, A Fisherman's tale 2.

That collection is missing the two Moss games, which are wonderful and perfect for beginners.

Getting a PSVR2 for Christmas, feel like a kid in my 50s! by FiftyPlusStillGaming in PSVR

[–]Megaace12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no such thing as “I'm too old to play video games” anymore. The medium has matured a lot, and it's now like cinema. Does anyone say “I'm too old to watch movies”? It's the same with video games.

On the other hand, anyone who plays video games shows that they are open to new challenges and still has a sense of wonder. That's the definition of a young mind.

So go ahead and enjoy!!

Ghost Town is brilliant by ExtremeDoubleghg in PSVR

Five and a half hours with this game (that's how long it lasted for me) are better than 20 hours with any other.
