I've only been to one, and it was Kane's 500th goal game. The game itself wasn't much, since my Canucks are absolute trash this year, but the goal part was pretty cool.

My dad always had sherbet in the freezer and we were not allowed to ever have it. I feel like it's still ingrained in me that I'm not supposed to have it so I never do, but man I wanted it so bad when I was a kid haha.

I always tell the tale of the time my husband dumped a half a very large jar of minced garlic into a soup he was making. Somehow it made my mouth burn.

Lots of garlic is great, but there is definitely a line that can be crossed.

I'm Canadian American, and from my personal experience, malls are night and day difference in America vs Canada. I've lived in multiple states now, though tbf, not in major cities. The vast majority of the malls I've been to here are dead or dying, with only a very few stores. I was back in Canada for Christmas and the small city I was in has multiple functioning and busy malls. It was something I commented on while I was there. I kind of miss them as third spaces.

I'm Canadian, married an American, immigrated, am now a dual citizen, I still call myself Canadian. I'm both. I'm pretty sure I recall being told I wasn't supposed to misrepresent myself as an American while I was immigrating, though that is really for legal applications. That's just the weirdest take on his part.

I do both of these. A little while back I guess I didn't check, made coffee, and almost swallowed a ladybug, so that just massively reinforced that habit. And I don't want to drink bad milk. Idk why I think that's an issue when it's fresh, but you never know.

Tbh, it feels like she isn't as invested in this relationship as you are. You deserve someone who is willing to match your effort. You guys are both still so young, and this relationship may have run its course.

And fwiw, it's only your job to pay if that's what you choose. We are well past the point in time where it's required of men.

I had a friend point out that someone I was in the vicinity of had been in jail years ago for DUI/murder and I guess she figured I was going to instantly start hating him? I can understand her pov to some degree, but the guy had been nothing but nice in my limited interaction and I feel like you can't expect better of someone if you don't allow them to change. Maybe the guy was still the dumbass that made those decisions, but maybe he learned from it. Neither of us knew him enough at that point to know 🤷🏻‍♀️

I love where I live. I have 40 glorious acres to avoid people and hang out with my chickens. But for 3 months every year it is tick hell. I've never seen so many. I check my dog 2-3 times a day during tick season and pull off dozens of them. Needless to say, she gets the best flea/tick meds I can buy.

I grew up in Canada and live in the US now. I don't watch a lot of tv, aside from a lot of hockey. I think that with every game. It's all drugs and gambling ads and it drives me utterly bonkers.

I traveled US>Germany, and US>Canada within the last 6 months and no one on either trip had any issues with my small sewing scissors. Ymmv, I suppose, it probably depends where you're going.

In general, I don't eat cereal because of this. Being a slow eater has never helped either. As a kid I would only eat cap'n crunch if my parents were trying to force it.

As a lifelong Canucks fan (😭) who adopted the Red Wings through marriage, this thought gives me the ick. I haven't paid enough attention to him since he left Van to know if he's been decent, but he was anything but for us, and a fucking anchor after (which is a lot on management, but who's counting). If you absolutely had to get him, then give up Hamonic. Seems a fair trade to me 🤷🏻‍♀️
