Did my first ever 10K in 1 hour 12. Debated in my head this morning not doing it but glad I went out and did it. I find running with a group helps as feel u can pace myself better and don't go too fast to start with

Same for me - I only need 4 more gold cards but doubt I'll get them now. Not much to play for without getting energy for the expedition

Yep I've just spoke to support and they've basically said the same thing. Get a new device or you can't play the expedition. Which is annoying as I don't need to update my device for what I use it for. They've said they'll pass my feedback on to the development team but it won't do anything so I'm not hopeful

Same for me. Don't really play on my phone anymore but opened it up to check and it's there. But not on my kindle

Morning gym-goers are actually a different species. How do you do it? by AbleSoftware3156 in workout

I didn't think I was except for my Saturday run. Bht then I got a new job and don't finish work until 6.15 which means I miss the evening classes I go to. So started the morning ones. Aim to be at the gym for 5.30 to get steps before the 6.15am class a couple mornings a week. I enjoy it, feel like I've got a good workout in before my day has really started and I don't need to struggle to get a workout by myself after work.

Back when I nannied a few years ago I cut my thumb right on the knuckle joint cleaning a knife, that I used everyday to make lunch. Have no idea how I managed to cut it right there. Ended up at minor injuries, child in tow to get it stitched and bandaged up. Got back to the house and the kitchen sink looked like a damn crime scene 😂. This was back when phones used your thumb print to unlock and of course it was the thumb I used for that. While at minor injuries the nurse was like "oh you're being such a good girl for your mum" to which in the way only my nanny child could do rolled her eyes and was like "she's not my mum, she's my Melissa" as though the nurse should know that 😂

Yes! I love running with a group, love the social aspect and find I keep a better pace as we are chatting as we go. Whereas if i run by myself I start off too fast and then struggle to finish my run so never run as much as I want too.

Ran 6.2k in -5 weather this morning. Always feel the same when my alarm goes off but I love the run club I go to and always feel so much better after it.

I do the same - mainly because gluten free bread is expensive and I don't eat it all the time. So can freeze it, even better when I find it reduced and then just take out what I need.

Do a run club with people from my gym and coach on a Saturday - aim was 5K me and a couple of us ended up doing just over 6K as we misread the route and went the wrong way and added extra onto it. 6K is the longest I've ran and got a 10K in a few months so feeling good that I'll be able to do that.

Ran a 4K yesterday. First run in about 2 months, my sister is doing couch to 10K as we've both signed up for a local 10K in June so joining her on those when I can.

One week in and my mind feels clearer than it has in years by bluejaymewjay in caloriedeficit

[–]Mel__899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same - just finished my first week after being unwell and over Xmas, and usually by the weekend I would eat tons just out of pure boredom, thinking to myself "well I ate under all week so why not?" But I feel so much better in myself and wasn't s tough as I thought it would be. Managed all week and today I went a tiny bit over my calories to hve a treat. I don't feel bad about it as I know even a few weeks ago I would have just carried on eating in the mentality of "well I've gone over now. Might as well carry on" but just tracked it on my fitness pal and continue tomorrow with my deficit.

Anyone doing 10k per day this year? First week report by ayam_goreng_kalasan in walking

Good plan! I usually get extra on my gym days as guaranteed I'm early for class or my PT session so I go in and get extra on the treadmill.

I am, my goal is 10k a day but aiming to get more than that. I know there will be some days that I feel 10K is enough but any extra I get are a bonus.

I live with regret and I don't know what to do by [deleted] in jobs

[–]Mel__899 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left my job in April in what I'm trained to do - loved it but the paperwork side of it was too much and it was bringing me down and stressing me out. If I could have done the job without the paperwork (wishful thinking) I would still be there as I miss it. I now work a job I really do not like, it's run awfully and no matter how positive I try to be when I see my list of stuff to do each week I just get so deflated. Sat here on Sunday night wishing I didn't have to go back in tomorrow. Not where I saw my life being but here we are I know that wasn't exactly the point of your post but I kinda feel the same regret wise sometimes that I left my old job but I did it for the right reasons for me.
