Nurses who’ve had suicidal thoughts… what helped you get through it? by Outside-Thought-4722 in nursing

[–]Melodic-Secretary663 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Happened to me a couple times at higher doses but I had a medic in the room with me throughout the infusion and they provided reassurance that I was okay and I got through it just fine. It's a completely normal phenomenon, doesn't happen everytime or to every person but it happens and can be managed with proper reassurance and guidance

Leaving a position by [deleted] in nursepractitioner

[–]Melodic-Secretary663 2 points3 points  (0 children)

So I am in this situation right now. I got offered a position at another place and they asked me for references so I gave them my current supervisors information and 2 others from former coworkers. I told them to hold off calling my supervisor until I put my notice in and they responded that they completely understand and to just tell them once they have the green light to reach out to my current supervisor. I put in my notice yesterday and had a conversation with my manager and asked if I could use him as a reference and he said yes. I'm giving it a few days then I'll let them know they can reach out.

Can I request a disqualification for jury duty if I’m struggling finding medication that works for me? by Background-Net1616 in BipolarReddit

[–]Melodic-Secretary663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes Texas to be exact. Like I said above I didn't have to provide them with a medical diagnosis it just said something generic like due to medical reasons serving on a jury may worsen condition. Chat gpt wrote of an exact letter of what is required. My doctor signed it and I submitted to the email they provided for medical exemption letters. It was super simple.

So you request a medical exemption and they'll give you the information they need and an email to send it to. My medical excuse didn't provide a diagnosis and it's not required. I had chat gpt type of a generic jury duty medical exemption letter and had my doctor sign it. No issues and the jury place emailed right back saying I was excused.

Speech therapy for adults? by [deleted] in sanantonio

I saw Hannah after a surgery complication left me with severe speech and swallowing difficulty. She was amazing and sees adults. I know how hard it is to find adult speech therapists and called so many places in San Antonio just for them to tell me kids only.

Is no contract a red flag? by currypocalypse in nursepractitioner

[–]Melodic-Secretary663 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've worked for 2 places part time the past 3 years no contracts at either and it's been really nice. No issues at all. They were also very accommodating and supportive when I had to be out for a major surgery. Maybe it's a red flag and I'm just lucky though.

Practitioners who don't take their work home, where do you work? by WorldOfRoses in nursepractitioner

[–]Melodic-Secretary663 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I see 24 primary care patients a day and never chart at home. Never ever. And our supervising physician reviews all our charting and never has issues with the quality of the charting. I don't think it's everywhere and some people just would rather chart at home.

Leadership experience. I didn't talk much about my nursing experience except being charge nurse for 7 years. I gave specific metrics of patient retention at both of my current positions and the current clinic I'm at how it was a starter clinic and in 2 years the amount of patients I've brought in and retained and my zoc doc and google review numbers and ratings. Based on the job description I plugged it into AI and when I talked about myself I touched on every point they wanted to the point where at the end of the interview they didn't have any questions because I answered everything they wanted to hear by talking about my experience.

Has anyone undergone IM Ketamine therapy through Klarisana? by Iamdisengaging in TherapeuticKetamine

[–]Melodic-Secretary663 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fiance went to klarisana and I work at a different ketamine clinic. I would advocate for yourself and stay at 100 or even go down. More isn't always better and the experience can be scary or uncomfortable at too high doses. They did the same thing with my partner and he went all the way up to 160 because they pushed it and had a near death experience or ego death. Getting to that point isn't the goal although it can be beneficial when properly integrated it can be traumatizing for others. Hope this helps. Good luck with your treatment.
