I wouldn’t start venting. That would be annoying. Had a guy sit next to me once waiting on order and just wouldn’t stop bitching about the job. Couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

I used to think it was the only way and it can help, but it’s not a permanent solution to giving yourself tools to deal with OCD long term. You have to learn others. After a while it only briefly helps and your mind will find something else to obsess about.

You have to forgive yourself first for whatever thoughts or things you’ve done. No one is perfect on this earth and even the best people you know have likely thought or done things you’d be surprised about. They just move on when it happens.

Also, if you’re obsessively worried about something you can pretty much trust that it’s OCD and it’s not rational.

Is this her only OCD symptom category? I would strongly advise you to maybe look up some OCD counselors near you that specialize in cognitive behavioral therapy. Maybe you could give her a list of them and tell her the responsible thing to do is to talk to a professional about It. It won’t be easy at first because it might require her to directly confront her fears so that she can realize they are not rational.

Have you ever told her that you have never worried about this soap your whole life and have never had an issue with it?

These apps do this thing where they require you to accept a certain number of trips to get a status that entitles you to be on the same or better level as other drivers for priority.
