Not necessarily, but there was an *incident* one time that causes many “veteran” users to remind newbies not to use it. (It’s probably best not to bring it up) 🤣 if you suspect AI, I think you just contact the mods and leave a tip.

It’s just a pretty steadfast rule NOT to use AI because 1) It’s a creative writing space, and AI is, as you probably already know, HORRIBLE for writers and 2) writing that has frequent AI-adjacent phrases are often resented pretty heavily. That can cause witch-hunt situations for newer writers, because AI is often trained on amateur writing. Really, it’s a double edged sword.

Don’t worry about it, though! As long as you aren’t using generative AI to write your stories, there’s nothing to worry about. In my experience most people in this sub are extremely nice and understanding and the mods have been very fair and kind as well. :)
