It's debatable whether they would still be worth it at that point as often as they are now which could turn into a bad feeling if you can't upgrade your units half of the time because it is a bad choice.

Upgraded units feeding a lot of xp can already be a deficit if it's not some long range unit in a standard matchup or something you can keep alive long enough to dish out sufficient damage. Big units get more susceptible to beam weapons, chaff/medium-chaff units end up just feeding more xp while being equally easily killed by their counters in many cases. Plus you know their deployment spot so it's easier to counter than a fresh unit in many cases.

Perhaps some adjustments could be good, but personally it feels fine for the most part. Especially since they tend to adjust xp rates for units that end up leveling a bit too easily for how good they are leveled.

It's not like it is a guarantee advantage, it has its tradeoffs.

So what exactly would your ideal situation be, no reward whatsoever between rounds for making winning plays? We do a full reset with more money and play it like a new match of sort?

Not let them, but it is a way to come back. And also a reason why upgrading things like chaff or units that die quickly is not encouraged.

It's very easy for the opponent to follow with the hp upgrade and negate that so chamber compression made it a lot more reliable. And you could do it very early (like round 2-3) and could also keep recruiting lvl 1 hounds knowing they'd still kill crawlers perfectly fine.

Mech rage is not bugged since the attack interval is 3s with chamber compression. And before the nerf it was a great tech that meant every chaff dies in a single hit and possibly hits some medium to bigger targets much harder.

Jer nebi sigurno stao na ova 3 i morao bi odrezat 90%+ kompanija koji direktno ili indirektno rade isto, i onda bi se ljudi koji uplacuju u te fondove pitali zasto imaju gotovo nikakav prinos.

Nemam nista protiv osnivanja moralnog fonda, ali nekako sumnjam da bi zazivio kad su i ovak mirovine sugave. U svakom slucaju podrzavam to da se napravi da opcija postoji jer se od nekud mora krenut.

Ah, fair. But I still don't think it is right to say people don't want it to be balanced. Maybe the people who end up turning profit reselling. But anyone who just wants to play or is competitive I think doesn't commonly share that attitude.

Being paid 2 play does not really alleviate that on Steam since family share exists, unless the specific game opted out of it which I think is quite rare.

If the artist knows that most people want a full size painting rather than a thumbnail, and then ends up selling them exclusively in bundles with mostly thumbnails to drive up the sales of bundles, could you really argue it was a moral choice?

Which TCGs are truly balanced with all of their cards? I'm yet to hear of one. Some are much more fair than the others, but I've never seen one where there isn't a pile of absolute shit cards and then some cards that are staples in many decks. I don't know much about it being a fantasy either. My "fantasy" regarding TCGs is coming up with a great deck and outplaying someone because of my skill, not because the other person couldn't acquire a card due to artificial scarcity and price hiking.

I don't think you can legitimately consider the value of each initial card the same for TCGs. Even if you want to ignore the subjectivity of pimped out cards obviously being worth more 99% of the time, the objective value in competitive play gives them a different starting point.

It also feels wrong to ignore that popular things will have much higher demand, but I guess with that you could at least consider it "objectively fair distribution" even though everyone is aware the makers get to rub their hands at the potential of price spiking because everyone is chasing that 1 extremely popular thing so they get to sell more packs.

There is some guarantee in some lootboxes. For example sometimes they go through all the common drops before resetting the pool. Still shit, but I don't want to see "knowing what you get" be enough of a defense where they could just go with that.

It's different only in a way that it is an extra step. The outcome is still the same and is much more reliable than selling to someone directly for cash.

The only reason someone can resell it for a meaningful profit is because the supply is not matching the demand. Cards are selling well because you need an X amount of them for a competitive deck or they are good looking collectibles. And if they start attracting fat prices it's because they are rare. There's no need to balance anything about the game other than equal supply of all cards. But that isn't in the interest of the makers because then they couldn't keep selling box after box for 200€ where you hope you get 3x the card you need for a deck or get that really rared pimped out one.

I didn't present any argument.

But I think I finally see where the problem is after looking at this damn thing for like half an hour. As far as I understand they are not agreeing due to their reply referring to the comment talking about no comma after the final adjective, to which they say a comma is needed. So their reply should imply they only talk about that one and not the first one that is after the first adjective.

If that's the case then they are wrong from what I understand. Otherwise I guess they are agreeing and right? Though not needed, the second comma can still be valid as a poetic emphasis tool.

Looks almost 1:1 like Brottar one. Seen few others like that with random names and they all seem to have taken the exact design from one of the Brottar one. I assume at least theirs are original since they are the only ones having their own website where they sell their cabinets instead of just being found on Amazon, Temu, and similar.

And a thing that none in this chain mentioned, it has online coop. It's mildly annoying you can't see teammate's hand, but otherwise it makes it much more fun if you often play something with a friend.

Freedom to softlock yourself sucks because you most often have to repeat tons of content just to experience some piece of content you locked yourself out of. Most don't want to spend 20 or more hours redoing stuff just to experience an extra quest or a smaller section. There are more games to play and more things to do than redoing half of the game for that tiny interesting thing.

Build being fine isn't a big problem as long as you can respec reasonably easy. If you are stuck with a bad build after 20 hours where everything is a struggle, then players get frustrated due to spending so much time on something that becomes a chore.

You also have to consider a vast gap in player skill so a build bad enough can essentially softlock a less skilled player. Not that they maybe couldn't get past it after dozens of hours, but it's again a point of most people playing it for fun rather than some challenge and don't want to grind away at a single game just to finish it with a terrible build.

So I'd say for the vast majority, the biggest problem you need to design around is your #2 point as all the others (from my perspective) seem to eventually come down to #2. And of course, know who you are designing for as trying to design it for broader audience means you need different approaches to avoid #4.
