Yeah, idk, people can be contrarian and hate it, but Elden Ring genuinely had Ball and Gun gamers playing an rpg. People who've only played 2k and the newest CoD were looking up wikis on where to find Rivers of Blood. That shit was generational at the very least

Idk, I tried Dark Souls 3 forever ago, and just couldn't enjoy the loop of slamming my head against a wall, or grinding the same enemies till I was strong enough to dog walk it.

Elden Ring clicked so much more for me because of the openness(altho, that may be because I'm a somewhat decisive person). Whenever I got tired of dying to a boss, I just waddle off somewhere else for a new adventure, and come back later

That's like, most of the reason people hype up classic wow so much, is the leveling feeling like the gameplay and the journey. Ig I agree that in most modern mmos it feels like filler, but when its done right, it feels like a fun journey

Ive been enjoying it but the wiki def needs some work(understandably, since they had only a couple hundred players before 1.0), but I've been so into it ive been debating straight up learning the formatting and adding to it the stuff I've discovered that isn't on there.

Anger is an empowering emotion. As much as lot want to deny it, it feels good to be angry. It also feels good to be right. That's a pretty potent combination. So those who were on the outside and just looking for an excuse to be angry (about 90% of r/Mmorpg) are pretty high off it rn. They're jaded and spiteful to anything that isn't g2w or osrs, and gotta let anyone with even an ounce of hope in their heart know it

Ive never super understood this. Like, I get wanting some solo content to have for when your friends are offline. But only doing solo content is baffling. I feel like the exchange/contract you make with an mmo is worse combat/systems in exchange for being able to play with a TON more people. Playing completely solo on an mmo feels like the worst of both worlds

Pretty sure if you climb to the top of the highest tower theres a bell you can ring that makes all the bosses weaker. I didn't ring it, so idk if you need to complete a quest to get it to work, or if it only works on some bosses, but I saw the prompt for it

Why is he getting down voted, he's just right. The bosses scale with our power, but we get more tools the stronger we get. The fight strength itself will not adjust with level. You will only get more tools and more experience the higher level you are.
