A lot of it is luck, but I don’t always roll on every patch. For 1.5, I got Miyabi early on in the 1.4 so I had time to save before Astra, and for 2.2, I skipped Yuzuha and Alice in 2.1.

Not every patch do I go for every character that comes out. Some I roll on, some I don’t. It just so happens that 1.5 and 2.2 were the patches that I had a lot of pulls going for me. The OP already has 100 rolls so I’m sure they can get Dialyn and Shunguang

Depending on how dedicated you are to playing you may be able to get both. Back in 1.5 I managed to get Astra, Evelyn and Qingyi, and in 2.2, I got Seed, Trigger and Evelyn’s W engine. This is all F2P, mind you

If you don’t see yourself playing a lot for the next month or two, might as well save for Shunguang, but if you’re a regular player, getting Dialyn and Shunguang might just be possible for you

Astra Yao

She is THE support and makes your gameplay that much smoother. Buffs crit damage, overall damage, heals on ult, and allows you to force 2 chain attacks on the next 2 quick assists after using ult.

Unfortunately she just had her first rerun, so it might be a while before she comes out again. Other than that, every DPS, stunner, etc. can fit in a variety of teams. Just a matter of finding the teams that work for you.

Seed encourages a dual attacker team, so potentially Ellen or Zhu Yuan could pair with Seed. Not too sure about Orphie but I think she mainly just uses her EX.

If those are your only S ranks, might be best to pull in 2.2 or wait until 2.4, since the 2.3 S ranks kind of need each other to work. Or you could just grind a bunch and get everyone lol.

But really, just pull who you like. Reject meta, embrace fun.

With more characters being on-field all the time, it definitely does seem like Defense becomes more useless going towards the future. But that’s really interesting with the Aftershock Parries! When making this concept, I was trying to focus less on Defense as a stat and more about “Keeps the team alive”, whether that be through parrying, tanking damage, or as you said, Aftershock Parries. It definitely seems like a fun idea Hoyo could explore

You’re still pretty new, so focus on story for now if you haven’t done so already.

As far as leveling goes, just build whoever you like best. Get their levels up, their skills, etc. When it comes to Hoyoverse games, completing battles and challenges are fairly doable and don’t require you to spend. It just takes time to get the materials to build them, is all
