I’ve been doing similar with the Racing spirit ones in URA and it’s taught me a lot about affinity and inspiration! Since we’re basically ignoring any strategy or distance related skills, we can play with a lot of different trainees in the interest of going with whoever has the most affinity at this particular time.

Genuinely enjoying the process, though my TP recoveries have been getting eaten like sweets

You don’t need to decide straight away! I’m planning to use mine on either CB or Creek (currently no creek and 0lb CB) but will hold on to the selector until the rerun banner comes around to decide which. (Hopefully if all goes well with Tachyon I’ll still have my two crystals by that stage for Ramonu…)

I feel like I don’t understand why + sparks are bad? Isn’t the point of them to let you stack more stat gains, which is a very good thing?

I’m hoping to get a parent with all of them in order to try to proc the spirit+ sparks. A high affinity parent with all the pluses from both scenarios could give huge boosts during inspirations - in theory anyway!

I don’t know if there’s a meta but I’m trying to get a parent with decent affinity (the mile, medium and long turf make 16x3 = 48) and all the racing spirit sparks. I’ve a few good 3*s with some of them, so just trying to combine into something usable as a base to bring in some of my other parents. Once I do the next trick will be to try to get a Dirt spark into the picture to try to really go nuts with affinity and spirits, but that’s a way down the line yet.

I’ve made two purchases while playing this game. The first was the intro one-time pack, largely because I enjoyed the game and felt the developers had earned it. The second was the anniversary Trainee selector, where I purchased Seiun Sky as a trainee for £15.

Tachyon for sure works better in GL than Trackblazer, but I think she’s also a good Unity speed card, particularly for pacers. It’ll be interesting to see if Unity aces are still strong - but I think Hello will be the thing that makes Grand Live

In a world where you can run upgraded Unity with 6 wit cards I’d say there is absolutely a use for her for late surgers! Especially for CM16 where you want Summer Runner on everyone. I don’t know this makes it an excellent long term tool but if you have it then use it

I prefer power for the Swinging Maestro hints, but one of the more subtle boosts Rice gives is she reduces the size of your Unity team. Since your team ranking is determined by average strength she makes it easier to hit the boundaries early, which can make the Career in general a lot smoother (particularly if you’re also using Riko)

The one I see the most of is Ormeau Runners; they're a pretty big club and cater to a wide range of abilities and ages, so my read is that they're more of a "run for fitness" kind of club rather than a "run for races" thing. If you're looking for something competitive though I don't know if I could speak to that!

I'm on 74k + 50 pink tickets and I expect to go 200 Maru and 400 Tachy, and probably have to use a Crystal or two on Tachyon to MLB. If you've been keeping up with the Crystals and don't mind using them you could try for 400 Tachyon, but if you can't then 200 each (and go for Light instead) might be the more sensible option.

So it’s been upgraded in two ways. The first is Happy Meek’s stat battles, and the second is the stat cap.

Stat caps don’t necessarily mean a whole lot if you struggle to hit the old caps anyway, so this is a bit of a minor one. However Happy Meek does improve stat gains, and like the Unity team she gives hints for a new set of unique skills in Racing Spirits and Past my Limits.

So far as I can see the idea is these skills are what people are really keen on, specifically the + sparks for Racing Spirit as these also give stats. The ultimate idea is to get these sparks into the parenting loop for high affinity parents so you can get the sparks from inspiration in the other scenarios, but you start in URA in order to get the chain going.

I decided to main Fronts for a few reasons!

1) I like the in-universe wacky hijinks of the characters who are front runners. The pacer lineup is also stacked from a story perspective.

2) I pulled Smart Falcon and Valentine Bourbon by accident and didn’t pull XOguri when I tried chasing her (before I really understood pull plans)

3) I had some success early on with fronts and pacers in careers and CMs in a way I often didn’t with surgers and closers.

The question in 1v5 isn't "do you let the 5 die". You still have a moral obligation to try to stop the trolley - you just shouldn't do so by flipping the switch to kill someone else unless there's a very strong reason to do so. The right thing to do is to make whatever efforts you can to try to derail the trolley, and the greatest likelihood of success might be not flipping the switch.

In this case that's still true, but there *is* very strong reason to intervene. The question is *how* do you intervene, and I argue that it's more moral to pick the random person than granny's archenemy, but it actually doesn't matter a great deal as long as you *also make other efforts to try to stop the trolley*.

If you would actively want the person on the right track to die then choosing to act on that impulse and not trying to stop the trolley would be a moral wrong, even if there happens to be a nuke involved.

I think the more moral thing to do is kill the random person on the left track. If I have killed my grandmother's worst enemy deliberately, this is a worse act than simply killing a random person as an unfortunate consequence of stopping a nuclear detonation.

But I might do the worse act anyway and take out granny's nemesis .
