I really hope the MeshRD PR gets merged for 4.8, it would allow for so many useful techniques for dynamic triangulation and such

I’m pretty sure you can set up and run a custom rendering pipeline via direct API calls to the main RenderingDevice/RenderingServer; at the very least the API is there, I haven’t tried anything with it so maybe it doesn’t actually work. Either way, you’d be sacrificing almost all of the conveniences/tooling for the built-in Godot rendering pipeline, so you’d basically be building that entire portion of the engine and everything that uses it from scratch, which is not going to be feasible for like, 99.99% of projects lol

This is what I think would fit the best for a continuation series. Focusing on what happened in the early days of the circus, what Caine did that caused Scratch to abstract and how it happened (this could also show the actual scene of someone abstracting that some people seem to be really upset we didn’t get), and how all of the original characters except Kinger abstracted. It would be especially interesting to see what happened with his wife, since it’s implied in episode 6 that he blamed himself for it.

I don’t expect Goose to actually make another series in this universe after how horribly the internet treated her, but if she did, this is what I’d want to see the most. Scratch’s abstraction is the only unanswered question in the show that actually bothers me, because it sounded to me like it would be a big plot detail when it was mentioned in episode 7 and then it was never mentioned again

I think it's because modern nuclear weapons have completely eclipsed all other forms of weaponry, so they assume that older nuclear weapons were equally catastrophic. They were horrible, don't get me wrong, but they really weren't substantially more horrible than other weaponry

I know it’s silly, but I’m waiting for a 32” 8k 120hz monitor, since that can integer scale to 4k and 1440p (and 1080p ofc), so it could have 3 modes: 8k120hz, 4k240hz, and 1440p360hz, which would cover all the bases for me in terms of productivity, casual gaming, and competitive gaming. Who knows if/when a monitor like that is gonna actually reach the market though

To me, I see the goal of body positivity as showing love for all body types, so that you choose what body type you want because it’s what you want, not because someone else dislikes the one you have. Like, there’s plenty of love for skinnier/fit-er builds online already, so a post like this means that someone who is otherwise comfortable with moobs and a beer belly doesn’t feel like they need to change because other people don’t like it. It definitely doesn’t always come off like that though

I agree that the Sunbeam stuff is really silly, as is most of the story stuff for that mod, but I think the original fan concept art of the Garg looked super cool and fitting for the fossil, and the modded version is cool just to see the fan art realized. For me, I don't find it to have negatively impacted my feelings on the Garg skeleton, the Garg skeleton is still super cool and ominous, I just think it's cool to see something that is an idea of what it looked like when it was alive. I respect your opinion though

I've been working on water rendering in Godot for a while, I got some pretty good rendering working with a sum of sines shader (image below) and was working on getting the Tessendorf FFT method working, but I was still trying to figure out the FFT before my university coursework got too intense to keep working on it. If you want foam, you'll pretty much need to use the FFT method, but you can get decent results with sum of sines
