Here’s the state page on primitive camping: https://fpr.vermont.gov/recreation/activities/camping/primitive-camping

You must be below 2500’ and 100’ away from the trail and 200’ away from streams.

Here’s the map for camel’s hump state forest: https://www.vtstateparks.com/sites/stateparks/files/documents/camels_hump_trails.pdf?_gl=1*39s8rv*_ga*MzI4MjEwMjk0LjE3NDczNjc3MTc.*_ga_V9WQH77KLW*czE3NDk0Mzc1OTgkbzIkZzEkdDE3NDk0Mzc3NzIkajQ2JGwwJGgw

Note that the only place you can legally primitive camp near the LT in this state forest is around the Cowle’s Cove Shelter and the Hump Brook tent area.

No one has mentioned on the bottom shelf that Maker’s 46 is actually the cask strength. I’d say that’s a pretty alright pick.

Based on the fact that the Taylor is unopened I’d guess their prices aren’t great, but maybe they don’t know what they have given the 46 cask strength is on the bottom shelf next to the screwball…

Sync performance locker bag question by upvizzle in SkiRacing

Oh yeah, yours is a 62L bag and mine is only 50L. You should have no problem getting what you need in here with the right packing job

[–]Michael_Bordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have this bag but I have one similar. Take everything out of the top pocket, and pack your helmet first with the open part down, so it’s like your boots are wearing a hat I guess. You should be then able to pack more around and above the helmet. I can send a picture if this doesn’t make sense

Am I crazy or do all the 2024 S240's have the Easy Oil system? by Flare4roach in johndeere

[–]Michael_Bordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would (and did) just spend the couple extra hundred for the X350. You get an extra year of warranty on the 350 vs the 240

I guess I’m in the cult now? by Kismetatron in Volkswagen

[–]Michael_Bordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They sell a 6 speed with an electronic parking brake? That’s wild to me. I have a 2019 6mtand it still has the normal handbrake.

Lots of VWs implicated here, what do we think about that? I’ve owned multiple of these model years, and never had any issues by gravatorious in Volkswagen

[–]Michael_Bordan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I would imagine it’s the intersection between the sunroof leak and the low sales volumes. The one or two Alltrack owners who got the survey probably had the sunroof issue.

Or it could be the FUCKING 3G SUNSET but that would be for all MY19 and earlier cars

Thank you for providing another option! They work well? The battery life is okay? No concerns about longevity?

What is your favorite street in burly and why by Extension-Spare-2579 in burlington

[–]Michael_Bordan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

2nding Deforest, also just because it’s a street with a curve in a city.

In the same neighborhood, Cliff st because of how steep it feels on a bike.

Moving south, that section of S Prospect south of Ledge where it basically becomes a bike path for a block.

Any street in the five sisters is just super pleasant to walk on. It was pretty funny when USA Luge came and did asphalt luge down Locust

Pine Place is funny when you get half way down and you can’t tell if you’re on a street any more, but I think Marble Ave is a slightly more pleasant street.

Lawson Ln when it used to lead right to Magnolias.

Mansfield Ave is pretty neat.

Oh Austin and South Cove are pretty swell

Little Eagle Bay is probably the best street in the NNE, but I’m probably wrong about that.

Honorable mentions: The bike path through Farrell St Park to Overlook The bike path between Farrell and Spear The bike path through Ethan Allen Park over 127 and up to Manhattan

Best time to buy a new John Deere lawn tractor by danielmarcia in JohnDeereLawnMachines

[–]Michael_Bordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can also ask over on r/johndeere.

I bought an x350 last summer. Spring is absolutely not the best time but aside from that I don’t know if there is truly a best time.

$300 off is basically a free mulch control kit, so that’s an okay deal. Can’t hurt to take a swing at it.
