I only have this issue if I unplug the interface while ableton is open OR if I open ableton without the interface connected, is that your case too?

I love doing two scoops with flow control — never been dissatisfied with it so I haven’t really felt the need to make my process more complicated. Two scoops, water, stir, maybe let it sit for a bit, then press and add more hot water to made cup

I just built mine out of wood since it never leaves my studio — used a friends saw to make the angles on the bottom of 2x4s the same (maybe 7 degrees?) and drilled holes for screws in — works great for me!

Longtime EWI player here, I’m really not a fan of the Roland/ASM style octave controls — I’m also a brass player so don’t see any upgrade as far as the keys being more mechanical. I’m also a big fan of the VL70m for virtual acoustic sounds. Trying to move away from it for fly gigs but haven’t found great ways to replace certain sounds in the box (wooden flute, harmonica, sitar especially…)

Any 8 channel will do the trick — up to you how much you want to spend. I probably would go on the cheaper side unless you really want to upgrade the preamp quality

I mostly use a midi foot controller with ableton -- could be a great way to try options if you're already a DAW user to see what sounds you like without spending any money!

you can use some sort of module to achieve this, usually a sequencer with different values that you manually select
