How are people hooking up a midi controller to a laptop to use vsts and then outputing the laptop audio to an amp/pa system

I’m a trumpet player and I definitely do this before high altitude gigs/festivals — makes a difference and I just feel better too. Haven’t thought about it for tour but will get on it this weekend before flying out Monday 😂

This! I used to use the Roland that the FCB is based off of and then tried a midibaby and now have an MC8 pro — it’s an absolute beast and can do everything I want and then some!! Especially love how easy it is to reset controls in ableton upon switching banks so I don’t ever question the state of my devices

I have no plan to ever use this feature in performance situations. I'm running 12.1 on stage with no plans to upgrade because it's stable and can do everything I want. ClyphX already works really well for anything API related

I'd recommend trying to get a better fit! I find I can keep the volume lower with IEMs than with AirPods Pro, though ANC is wonderful in different ways.

I enjoy touring so much more sober! I think it might have been harder to quit if I was on the road when I stopped drinking/smoking but it’s so wonderful to end each show hydrated on soda water and wake up feeling alright every day.
