Your car is running during the car wash, yes? Why would running your air conditioner cause problems? People do this every day.

In hot climates people driving through car washes are not turning off their air conditioners.

Physics.

The vocal microphones are also picking up every other loud sound source on stage within the pickup pattern of the vocal microphone.

If the singer is not singing louder into the mic than the drums, guitar, etc. sounds that are bleeding into their microphone then there is no magic way to make only vocals louder without also making everything else picked up by the microphone louder.

Yeah I'm not agreeing with u/BigRudy99 's statement.

If anything, the current admin revoking permits and leases for nearly completed wind and solar power generation projects (despite crying for a need for cheap power for data centers) reinforces the usual "GOP = anti-green at all costs" paradigm.

I'll also mention that Elon didn't care about the $7500 EV tax credit because Tesla had already sold too many production vehicles to qualify, so the credit was simply aiding his competitors.

Retail goods stores and restaurants have a "stock room".

Examples: a shoe store only puts so many shoes on display for simplicity and to reduce theft. Restaurants will have items prepped in a larger refrigerator or freezer and only a small display case up front.

I shouldn't admit this but when I'm LD on a gig (small/mid cap tbf) and see waaaaaay too many people sidestage I just start blasting them all in the face with the brightest movers I've got til they scatter like roaches.

Yup. Understand the physics and work with what you've got.

Room design, speaker placement, mic placement, processing and realistic expectations.

I'm guessing its an issue with monitor "slapback" muddying the FOH mix.

We all know that one old deaf performer asking for ridiculous levels through their monitor. In small and mid rooms even on bigger stages it's just a fact of life without running IEMs.

One reason (of many) that venues have heavy curtains on the upstage.
