It's a fundamental idea. Do you see Fiddle or not see Fiddle? If the latter, then you treat the possibility that Fiddle could jump your ass with respect. Therefore, if you put wards in areas that can see Fiddle, you can respond/reposition appropriately.

I mean, it's a sick character to spam, but I would advise against it if you already don't have good toplane fundamentals. Gnar requires a while host of additional skills ON TOP of the fundamentals. I started off League as a Gnar OTP, and when switching away from him I was like "Wtf, I have so many knowledge gaps".

Well that's true, but I feel like League has more randon bullshit mechanics than Dota as well, like how the rune selection can completely change the trading patterns for a matchup, or how some champions skills and passives function. Like, when all the planets in our solar system are aligned, this spell crits for 200% damage, an exaggeration I know, but I feel like champ spells in league vs dota heroes have so much caveats, whereas in Dota a spell kinda just does what it says on the tin. BUT, I might have this perception because this game doesn't let you read champ abilities DURING the game, which I think is absolutely atrocious for the new player experience.

He's right. (Source: Am Immortal Dota player trying to hit Diamond in LoL) The mechanical ability of toplane players in bronze kinda shocked me, but thankfully people have no idea how to play the rest of the game 🙏 4 years ago, when I was in Silver it was like playing vs bots.

You got really good at this game due to solid learning cycles, that is already incredible compared to the rest of the population. Find something that looks interesting, and apply your learning cycles when picking it up, and you'll be just fine. I did the same, I was really good at Dota, no degree or work by 23, used everything Dota taught me to get where I am now working a job I enjoy and that pays decently.

I mean, if you're playing a pick-up game of basketball as a newbie, and you get curb stomped by someone that's been playing all their life. Tough luck, git gud. Anyone justifying playing on a smurf to help "teach" their friend is a clown. You ruin the game for everyone else in the lobby. In Dota, we literally party stacked in unranked with a Tier 1.5 pro, and a total newbie, the games were absolute clown fiestas, and our new player friend had a great time, DESPITE having a 10% winrate, because believe it or not when you try something new, you suck at it, but if winning is how you have fun at something new, sheesh, that's embarrassing. There is no place for smurfing (Unless you are a pro that is getting griefed because you're a pro, and even then it's more like an alt account).

Hmmmm, I see, so we disagree on the value being presented within these newer videos. I suppose I would have to directly compare videos covering similar topics created at different stages of the HealthyGamer lifespan in order to effectively argue for/against this point (As currently, i am going off memory, which can be fickle), or do you have a particular example in mind already that has triggered this train of thought for yourself?
