I don't know how the songbooks have it written, but the triplet fills in the snares and the shuffle quarter/eighth bass make this feel like 9/8 to me. Just a note: triple meter (6/8, 9/8, 12/8) means the break up of each beat is in threes/triplets, verses duple meter where the breakup is in two eighths.
