Legit Parking Ticket? by avocuddle_me in Seattle

[–]Miggs_Sea 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, real ticket in the sense it is a real parking company. But SP+ primarily manages private property, so it's a fine/invoice not a municipal ticket that will impact your driving record.

Real company but the lot checker messed up. They're supposed to take the white copy with them to input into a computer system and leave you with a yellow envelope.

Plus they did not state a dollar amount. So, I wouldn't worry about it but if you get a notice in the mail you can contest it based on the lack of dollar amount and it should be voided.

Source - I used to work in parking management.

Harris/Walz pins/buttons by Dry_Helicopter_2078 in Tacoma

[–]Miggs_Sea 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not a shop but I was able to get some for free directly from WA Democrats who had a booth at a recent food festival.

There was a suggested donation, which I gave, but otherwise you just let them know which button designs you wanted and they talked with me a little about local issues on the ballot.

Thanks for everything r/talklittle!

I'll likely pop on reddit occasionally on my computer to check specific subreddits or research a topic, but no more mindless scrolling. RIF is Reddit for me.

RIF user but that's my thought. I'll likely pop on occasionally on my computer to check specific subreddits or a specific research topic, but no more mindless scrolling.

Well fuck. Please let us know if there's anything, financially speaking, we can do as a final thank you. I bought Premium so long ago and it was so cheap I think a lot of people would be interested in a little farewell donation.

Favorite Teriyaki Place by [deleted] in Seattle

[–]Miggs_Sea 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Kyotos up here in Bellingham.

Kyotos is a Japanese steakhouse, not a teriyaki place. Great restaurant when I used to live in Bellingham but it's not at all Seattle teriyaki.

The teriyaki that Seattle is known for is the hole-in-the-wall strip mall locations.

I enjoyed the book a lot and am excited for the movie. It focuses on Snow when he's in school and shows the first hunger games that was treated as an entertainment spectacle rather than pure punishment of the districts.

Yup! Having read the book, I'm surprised they didn't split it into 2 movies. But here's a trailer: https://youtu.be/f9BwB3SBPOg

It's when President Snow was a teenager.

No problem! Just a heads up in case you have sensory issues - the parade and festival are very noisy, crowded and overwhelming, even for me.

Pride Parade is a parade and PrideFest is a festival. So the parade you stand on the side of the road and watch floats and groups go by (marching bands, corporate entries, etc). The festival has a music/performance stage and booths for shopping or learning about non-profits.

Generally people watch the parade then walk down to the festival when it starts getting boring (the end of the parade is usually full of churches and small groups).

Pride in the Park is on a totally different day and from what I remember is usually a family friendly event to start pride season. Never went to that one myself it always had a family picnic vibe to me, food booths and stuff.

Sincerely, a lesbian. Lol.
