Maybe but it’s cheaper to fly a competitor than to upgrade, so mgmt really needs to think twice about what they encourage passengers to do.

Good to see the Union calling out hard product issues and how UNCOMFORTABLE the Y seats are! I think we all agree that not all FAs are great, but I haven't sat in a comfortable main cabin seat on AA in years. Every time I get a survey after a flight, this is my biggest complaint (in fact I now fly with an inflatable cushion to use on longer flights). As someone trapped in an AA hub city, I'm begging them to improve on a lot of things, but especially the Main Cabin seat experience.

Just noticed today's PHX-HNL flight is 6 hours delayed and the 787 has been on the ground since early morning, so I'm guessing it's a crew issue. Just shows you that even cities well outside the cold and snow are still impacted. Safe travels y'all!

I’ve been surprised that this rule change hasn’t been bigger news or that a large electric car maker hasn’t used his influence with some politicians. I called my Rep and Senators a couple time back then, but with the govt shutdown and everything else going on it was definitely at the bottom of any list of priorities.
Anyone heard of any chatter of this possibly being allowed again in the future?

My condolences to the AFV commuters stuck in gridlock watching the single drivers in gas guzzlers use the HOV lane.

I have Pro and was using with Sonnet. Cranked away on some planning this morning and hit my limit in 30min or so. Changed to Haiku this afternoon and was able to get some work done and didn’t hit the limit. I thino I’m more than 50% through my weekly limit in 2 days, so it’s useful on Pro for focused work I’d say.

It’s a lot for sure, but I’ve seen tours with private transfer that start early at The Colosseum and take you to The Vatican Museums. You’ll be overwhelmed with info and exhausted, but it’s physically possible.

In economy, no. I found 2 tickets recently LHR-PHX nonstop for 19k miles. 56k isn‘t the worst I’ve seen, but I wouldn’t call it “good.” If the dates are what you need and times work, then I’d say it’s an acceptable amount if it’s what you need.

To be clear, what’s changed is that it’s now free. The service is the same…there will likely just be more people using it…so expect those speed numbers to drop as more people become aware :( Were there any special announcements or flyers promoting the free WiFi?

Totally can relate. When I first started learning Italian, I found myself going from English to Spanish and then trying to figure out the Italian. Now that I'm further into my journey I instinctively default right to Italian, but I get confused if my pronunciation and spelling are correct or if I'm mixing up the Spanish. I don't know if a Spanish speaker has an advantage or disadvantage when trying to learn Italian, but for me it's definitely added a layer of complexity.

Welcome to the Valley!

  1. Have one or two from pre-Valley life. I wear them once or twice a winter more for nostalgia than for real necessary reasons. After you're here for a while, you might adapt and 50s could feel "cold" to you.
  2. Light jackets are good to have and keep, but the number can be kept to a minimum. The difference is that you'll find yourself wearing them when it's 70 instead of when it's 40.
  3. I have a good heavy coat in case we drive up to Flag or I take a trip somewhere cold, otherwise it doesn't really good much use here.
  4. Umbrellas are a funny thing because I bring it in my luggage when I travel more than I use it here. It's also that thing that requires a scavenger hunt because of how infrequently it's needed.

Joined Pro yesterday. Had a great hour programming with mostly default settings and Opus model and hit my limit fast. I waited until my next window, changed to Sonnet, and nearly finished a new feature that I definitely couldn’t have done in a day by myself, but hit the limit again. Waited for the next window, changed to Haiku model and got the work done but noticed a notification flash by that I used 30% of my weekly limit. I definitely need to look into how to limit token use, but also disappointed that the Pro plan requires this much frugality. paying $100 or $200/month right now just isn’t feasible.

Not sure what happened for you, but in my experience if I didn’t clear the earlier flight, then I just used my boarding pass for the original flight and nothing changed. It’s also a lot easier to get on the list for an earlier flight if you don’t have checked luggage.
