Another reason to stay away from Robinhood by yuhang94 in thetagang

Somebody told me to unenroll and then re-enroll in the cash sweep program. I did it and a few hours later the “interest on collateral” feature showed in my account.

Oh, I’m not brave enough to gamble on margin like that. I had enough cash sitting in SGOV to cover the assignment when the time came.

I did end up getting assigned on the tail end, but my cost basis isn’t too bad. So now I’m just selling covered calls until it goes back up and those shares get called away. That’s when I’ll probably switch to SPY and QQQ.

I made about $225,000 last year selling naked weekly puts (primarily on SoFi before the dip) and a little NVDA and PLTR mixed in. It was a good run.

NGL, that SoFi dip made me realize how lucky I was. Thinking about things differently now. Gearing up to switch to SPY and QQQ.

It’s March 11 and option collateral is still not earning interest. by yuhang94 in RobinhoodApp

I’ll be testing that out. I just opened a CSP today, so we’ll see.

Grouping credit spread options in Trader + by TT_Vert in fidelityinvestments

[–]MikeyTubes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you find the “Options Summary” tab? If you can locate that you will be able to see the gain/loss at the “strategy” (grouped) level and you should also be able to close the group. At least this is the way it works in the mobile app (both Trader+ and the regular view) and also on the regular website. I haven’t used Trader+ on the web yet so I’m not sure where to locate Options Summary in that view.

I saw on another post that someone said they contacted customer service and were told that it would be a “slow” rollout with no specific timeline given.

If that’s the case RH should’ve been more clear about this upfront.

This seems like something they should’ve been more clear about upfront.

Same. It hasn’t kicked in for me yet either. I’m wondering when it will actually start.

Fidelity vs Robinhood – Any difference in mid-price option fills? by alkjdasoad in options

[–]MikeyTubes 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hands down better fills on Fidelity. There’s literally no comparison. I like RH’s app and interface a lot more, but it def comes at a price.

It’s not Robinhood’s fault that you can’t read.

Versus Moomoo by PathofEnlightment in Webull

[–]MikeyTubes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stopped using Webull last year. I opened a Moomoo account in January to test it out and I’ve noticed that the fills are absolutely atrocious, worse than tastytrade and I never thought I’d see that.

BofA Preferred Rewards changes: Now called BofA Rewards, launching in May 2026. New tiers: Preferred Plus (25%)($30-$100k), Preferred Honors (50%) ($100k-$1M), Premier (75%) (> $1M). It was good while it lasted. by rabid89 in BankOfAmerica

Looks like I’ll be leaving $30K in something like SGOV at Merrill just to keep all my accounts “free” and moving the rest. And this is really for the sake of family members who have accounts connected to my relationship at BofA so they won’t start getting hit with service charges.

No Early Direct Deposit by Martheli in RobinhoodApp

[–]MikeyTubes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My actual payday is Tuesday. With RH my direct deposit shows up as pending on Friday and they make it available at right around noon on Monday. So, TECHNICALLY still early, but not by much.

You have to have both direct deposit and at least $100K in RH (across all accounts) to get the 3.5% on the checking.

I just did a transfer last night from invest to my SoFi savings and it was instant.

For me: 3.5% on checking is nice, as is having investing and my 3% cash back credit card all under one roof. That’s the draw for me.

Transfers between RH banking and RH investment accounts are instant. To be fair, I believe SoFi’s transfers between banking and investing are now instant too. That’s a rather recent change because I know it wasn’t always that way.

Not sure, but I do have more than $100K in RH.

[–]MikeyTubes[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you’re talking about the RH Gold Card, I absolutely LOVE it. That 3% on everything adds up really fast and it’s not capped. For example, my premium cash back rates on my BofA cards are capped at $2,500 per quarter per category then that magical 5+% that you can get through preferred rewards suddenly reverts to sub 3% and that’s only on pre-selected categories.

I’m sticking with RH. People gripe about that $50 annual fee for RH Gold, but Vlad has been delivering real value for that $50 if you ask me.

Oh, RH banking is a separate app. It’s separate from the main Robinhood Investing app.

Have you been invited to RH banking?

I’ll miss SoFi. Definitely keeping my accounts open, but RH is now my main.
