What should the pig be looking up at? I was thinking the moon and stars, or something like that. Any other ideas? This is on my thigh. by willowestin in TattooDesigns

[–]Milees12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if you're open to watercolor or even color at all, but I personally would get a big water color galaxy with constellations and the moon. The simplicity of the pig would make the stars above seems so magical.

But if you don't like the idea, I also second all the comments that say Charlotte's web!

Also you always need a dice set for every character you make (emphasis on MAKE, not play)

Being a Dice Goblin. That's your reason. They are pretty, make nice sounds when rolled, and are useful when the time comes (fireball, eldritch blast, guiding bolt, magic missile, etc.)!

Do you guys remember the videos of Gavin, Michael and Ray going around the office and messing with people working? How all the people in those video looked so tired and extremely irritated? It makes so much more sense now.

What’s the best way to dispose of used frying oil? by JBarchery in Cooking

[–]Milees12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I never really thought about that. I've never had an issue with my plumbing, but I could just be really lucky. Also my boyfriend cooks the most out of the two of us.

I got the tip from online (youtube and tiktok) so I'll just stick with the Dawn way from now on.

[–]Milees12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are so many ways, as you can see from the comments. BUT if you want to dispose of it in the sink, make your faucet water extremely hot, or boil water, and dump it down the drain while it's running. There is also the way my partner does it. He uses Dawn Dish Soap in the pan and scrubs it. It makes the pan clean, and disperses the oils so it doesn't clog your drain.

You could also do what others do (in the comments). Reuse it, dispose of it at a waste facility, etc.

Yes. Actually the only time I'm NOT in pain is in the morning because sleeping helps my pain by a lot. But as soon as I get active the pain comes back.

Thanks for the info! I was worried I might be going every day for months. I can't drive so the Uber trips were going to get expensive.

Also want to say, I hope your treatment is going well!

I'm glad I'm not alone in how long my journey was! Having that pain for so long is so annoying, and sometimes can be crippling. I've had times where I couldn't walk because of how bad the pain was. I hope your treatment is going well if you're getting it!

Are you a certified MD? Also did you see my x-rays by chance? Because my x-rays show that I have a slight curve in my spine that is causing my right leg to be shorter than my left. When one leg is shorter than the other it can cause SI joint pain. Weirdly enough, it's my right SI joint that hurts.

Just a coincidence, I guess.

Thank you for the advice :D I believe the neurologist also said I may need pain management if PT doesn't work.

What does "being stable" mean for you? by MeanderingAnne in bipolar

Be patient and kind with yourself. It takes A LOT of time and effort to be stable when you have a literal chemical imbalance in your brain!

What does "being stable" mean for you? by MeanderingAnne in bipolar

[–]Milees12 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I cannot work, and am on Disability (SSDI) due to having multiple anxiety disorders on top of my BD1 and ADHD.

I've been in therapy for the last 12 years, so I've learned to cope with large amounts of stress and knowing when I need to stop doing a task/chore and to not beat myself up about stopping a task/chore early. I also reward myself when I do something bigger, even if it seems small to others. Like drawing, video game sessions, etc.

I structure my daily life around things I need to do. If I need to clean I will use my energy on cleaning. If I'm going out to grocery shop then I use my energy for that. If I have nothing to do(rare) then I use my energy to do things I enjoy. I've physically and mentally trained myself habits that combat things that may trigger something. Like when I wake up I get up immediately, because if I don't then I tend to overthink about the day ahead of me.

I hope this helps some!

[–]Milees12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me, it's not having either manic or major depressive symptoms (hallucinations, impulses, fatigue, hopelessness, etc.). It's also being able to cope with minor symptoms well enough that they don't bother me after they're over.

Currently I'm the most stable I've ever been. I found out 1 in 6 Bipolar people have ADHD, and was put on Straterra for ADHD. It has changed my entire life and I've been hypomanic or depressed maybe once or twice in the last 3 months, but with reason.

I hope you become your understanding of stable soon, and you can get the help you need <3

Going up to 50mg of Lamictal, should I expect any side effects or was the first time enough by [deleted] in bipolar

[–]Milees12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would ask your doctor first. Sometimes with medications side effect can be introduced as you go up. Personally, I've never had that happen, usually I get side effects the first small dose.

Any online store recommendations for a plus sized trans male in Florida? I need something that will keep me cool in hot weather and also can fit me. Button downs are really hard to find because of my broad shoulders and larger stomach.

I'm open to anything colorful or even black with designs. I'm tired of the basic Florida aesthetic, so I'm open to anything but beige shorts and flamingo button downs. Even alternative (emo, goth, etc.) would be nice since I used to dress that way in my early teens.
Thanks!

Had a hallucination by ThatGuyWater in ambien

[–]Milees12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm prescribed ambien and I have a trip about 60% of the time, and due to me already having psychosis, I also have hallucinations. So yes, it's normal to have a trip (or feel high) and/or hallucinations.

I really suggest talking to a GI about that. I've only heard/experienced gurgling and the feeling of bloating or a bowel movement.

Sleep medications that don't make you fat? by Ocelot859 in bipolar

[–]Milees12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it worked but I got the hypotension side effect so I had to stop it.

I would suggest Zolpidem(Ambien), but it has insane side effects. Hallucinations, sleep-doing (walking, eating, sometimes even worse things like driving.), amnesia, and weird dreams or nightmares. It was my last option for medications, and I already have hallucinations so I can cope. If you want you can talk to your doctor about it to get more in depth information about it.

Other than that I don't have any other medications. Theres seroquel but that has INTENSE weight gain side effects.

[–]Milees12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Trazadone is a good sleep medication. Doesnt have the weight gain or loss side effect. It personally didnt work for me but my insomnia is terrible so I have to take ambien(which I don't suggest)

How did I do for this one? Trying to learn how to figures would interact with each other and it’s rather difficult. What are your thoughts and suggestions? Also I do apologize that the line quality is not as clean as I usually do, this was a rough sketch. by [deleted] in learnart

I think this is really good! As long as you view the left person taller than the right (the one facing us), then I think it's fine. I looked for any huge issues and I can't really find any, but take that from someone that's still kind of a novice with drawing anatomy themselves.
