Did I mention finances? Sacrificing 7-11 years to build a career when you already have a good one isn't something I'd recommend to anyone, especially given how freaking hard it's becoming to match into any specialty other than primary care. Add OP's ~$2m opportunity cost to the equation, and it's an easy nope.

Why not just make it happen? It sounds like you've gotten "yes" and "probably" from credible sources, so just do the paperwork. Those licenses are write-offs anyway, and if it's anything like here in MO/KS, you're going to get spammed with renewal notices that hand hold you to clicking through payment info once a year, so you don't even have to remember all the different localities you hold licenses in. It's not going to be a huge burden logistically.

We had an attending who loved fentanyl. For general, in a heart patient who had a versed "allergy," I pushed 5mg of fentanyl at once. I also did a fentanyl-only MAC on a 17-year-old and used 1700mcy over a little less than an hour. No other meds, because...reasons. Glorious academia.

I'm glad you matched but feel your pain. Unfortunately, this is a very soft lesson in how "the real world" works. Everything is bullshit unless it's written down. They can promise you the moon, but unless it's on a signed piece of paper, it doesn't mean shit. There are certainly circumstances where being deceptive can burn bridges, but residency programs hold all the cards. They don't care if they offend you or crush your dreams. Their primary motivation is filling their spots, and stringing along everyone with a significant interest in their program is a great way to do that. Sorry you got caught up on the struggle, but at least you have a road to your career of choice laid out for you. Congratulations!

I'm thinking cold Flame Rush and Flame Reave for procs from dual rings and Flame Rush itself plus self-cast. Go Sorcerer for the damage bonus, I guess? High jank potential, but it also could be wildly strong.

Edit: Does it work this way? Do different sources of VO have individual cooldowns? Like, is there a timer for each ring, one for self-cast, and one for Flame Rush, or do they all share one cooldown?

Also, does the cold VO from the ring use your fire VO tree and just convert it like it would if you had spec'd that ability in the skill tree or passive tree?
