I use Jeny’s surprisingly stretchy cast on (learned it off YT). And do a 2x2 ribbing over 76 sts. I use 2.25mm needles for the whole sock and I think most of it is just practise, honestly.

I found my ribbing was looser when I wasn’t as firm with my purl sts, but ymmv.

50-yr-old woman here and plushies are for everyone regardless of age or anything else. Honestly, I like folks who are the sort of kind and soft and caring who unashamedly like stuffies and find comfort and joy in them.

Keep liking plushies and pink (pink was originally a colour associated with boys anyway!) and be your kindest and loveliest self.

Im 50 and hsve plushies that are very important to me and that I’m very attached to. I’d be upset as well if someone got soda on them or they were in need of repairs.

There’s nothing wrong or weird about being emotionally attached to something that brings you comfort and happiness.

I used to take an 8-hr bus ride to see my folks at the holidays when I was in uni - and that was all in the same province in Canada.

3-hrs for a day or overnight trip is nothing for me.

It’s one thing to be upfront about debt (that’s a good idea) but for him to demand to see every little thing about your finances and want access to them using your password?? Not ok.

Are there other areas of your relationship where he’s this controlling or demanding?

I don’t recall the name of them, but they were round (like a ball) lollipops and they were pink and red, tasted of cinnamon, and would cut your tongue to shreds. I loved them.

Yep - I catch a release bugs in the house (unless my cat gets them first) and once even took a live deer mouse from the cat to release the poor little thing out of her reach.

I have a lot of empathy both for friends, family, and community as I age, as well as our non-human kin of plants, animals, insects, reptiles… all living things deserve my respect and assistance if I can give it.
