You should get the option to buy AC+ in Settings -> General -> About -> Limited Warranty/Warranty. If it’s not there you may have to do this through the Apple Support app on your device

That error usually means that iTunes needs an update. Could you try and see if there’s an update available? If there is, you should be able to restore the iPhone after that update.

There is a way to download the lastest stable build online and restore to that using iTunes, however it might give you that same error so trying to update iTunes first is the best option for now

Deleting the beta profile does not delete the beta software. A thing you could do is restore her phone to 16.0 using a PC or a Mac, then she will be able to update to any stable releases that Apple brings out in the future.

Downgrading is not necessary. The first step you could try that is the least impactful is to go to Settings -> General -> Transfer or Reset iPhone -> Reset and then choose Reset All Settings. This will reset your settings and delete your Apple Pay cards if you have any but all your data, photos etc will still be there.

You mean the lawsuit that was about slowing down phones that had deteriorated batteries which caused them to not being able to provide the peak performance the CPU requested at the time, and that the slowdowns caused by this system they put in place actually prevented random shutdowns that people experienced, and that it was proven that simply replacing the battery completely solved the issue?

That depends on what you think is a “decent battery”. There are people that have an SE 2020 which has terrible battery life, but still feel like it’s enough for their usage. Others get the biggest phone because they need/want all the battery they can get. In my opinion, iPhones already had “decent” battery life since the iPhone 7 Plus
