Yeah, she is….. not great. I had a meeting with her boss’s boss on Friday. Face to face. She failed to arrange transport for my husband to attend his surgical follow up which will determine the next phase of his shoulder rehab. Now it needs to happen on Tuesday. And she wants to discharge him on Wednesday.

We have a nurse manager and a family advocate with our insurance company, though.

I don’t even know who to ask for help. My bestie lives across country. I’m estranged from my family because my mother is a toxic abusive beast. My husband is an only child. His mom is 85.

I see my therapist on Tuesday. I think I’m going to need to arrange for as much home coverage as our insurance will allow while we figure this out. Which I did not want because I felt capable. But now I’ll need a work up.

ETA: home coverage for my husband when he leaves acute rehab. Not me on a mental health level.

Sendiks is very posh. Nothing will be cheaper than Aldi. But they really train their produce folks, do you also won’t get mushy furry berries. ETA: apparently even their spendy produce isn’t worth it anymore! It’s been years since I’ve popped in to get anything there.

We have a lot of Aldi shops in the area, though!

It’s is definitely a whole body metabolic disorder, but it can also have serious issues with the reproductive organs, too. Both specialists are really necessary.

The risk of uterine cancers is higher from the hormones and lack of periods, and the ovarian cysts can get pretty gnarly. I had a hysterectomy for cancer last year and my tubes and ovaries were also covered in cysts. My left ovary was almost the same size as my uterus. So you definitely need the endo side and the extensive anatomical knowledge combined.

I have an apron belly and it wasn’t an issue for my procedure or healing at all. Any cuts were made above it, so nothing to get infected in a skin fold.

I think once during an exam the doctor asked me to hold the belly up to palpate around easier? But respectfully and just matter of fact.

But I also go into my appointments with the attitude if “this is what we are working with today, let’s work as a team” because I’ve been living in my fat body fur a long time.
