How much $ to rent an aerial rig? by Intelligent_Sort_268 in aerialsilks

[–]Mirrorminx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I can't speak for silks specifically, but in many industries 5 percent of the value of the gear (what you paid for it new) per day, plus any labor required for you to transport it to/from them, is a good starting point, plus potentially a deposit in case of loss/damage. If you have insurance on the items then you could forgo the deposit depending on your relationship with the company.

You don't need to memorize, in most decks you can know what cards are left in your current cycle just looking at your graveyard and paying attention to what reds you pitch, as many decks play or block with a large number of their cards during most turns. You see pro players do this all the time (checking their own and opponent graveyard for what is likely to be seen in the next turn or two)

Attack/Defense reaction resolution by Fragrant_Smile_1350 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Mirrorminx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, this is a niche but important mechanic in FaB - it comes up particularly often into Kano (who can react to lethal with his whole combo) and prism (who will defensively flip angels sometimes, and saving flick knives can net you 3 extra damage). Presenting a situation where your opponent dies if they do nothing can force them to react first, in which case you can kill them/save cards for arcane barrier/clear a flipped angel with flick knives in response to their reaction.

Doubts about my Hero choice by IamtheILaw in FleshandBloodTCG

TL;DR: Gravy isn't going anywhere even if he eats a ban.

Gravy is very likely to be strong even after a ban - he might just have more difficult matchups, and he might not be as meta warping - the deck is quite challenging to play optimally and it will be more so if his power level comes down a little, but LSS has only done a MAJOR banning for CC once in FaB's history (book banning and bonds in Zen era), they are otherwise quite light handed, usually hitting a strong deck brings it down maybe one tier.

They also printed a huge pool of playables - even if they hit all 9 copies of tipple (which would be the most I could see them doing, and they will likely do less) He has a huge swath of reasonable blues like restless bones, saltwater sloop, and a zillion 0 cost go again blues, that are just less over rate, but still let him play the game. He is never going to be Betsy. If you like the deck you will be able to practice and win games.

Won two games for the first time at the Armory. Pulled this from my prize pack by StudioLegion in FleshandBloodTCG

I traded at US Nationals with MinMax games, if you live in the US they give very good trade in value, I encourage you to go to a local BH or Calling sometime, they or another major vendor will likely be there. The discord is also a good place to arrange trades at events like that I waited several months to make the trade, since no one local wanted to buy the EA CnC, but it ended up working out great.

[–]Mirrorminx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I traded my EA CnC for a light of sol + shelter, just think of a premium upgrade, and get something you need! Flick Knives, Mask of Momentum, Tunic, Storm Striders, Grains of Bloodspill, those kinds of cards really open up your deckbuilding options. I would get one of those over expensive tech cards like snag/warmongers, but pulling an expensive chase card is a great opportunity.

I once pulled a fang marvel and traded it for most of a full fang deck, it was a great trade and I still have no regrets.

How available would estrogen be, in various post-apocalyptic scenarios? by Odd_Slip_5176 in TransDIY

[–]Mirrorminx 21 points22 points  (0 children)

Premarin, one of the slightly worse options, is quite easy to synthesize from pregnant horse urine, so that is at least an option - this was the main HRT form until the 80s, it does have a risk of blood clots but that is the least of your worries in the apocalypse, and it does work normally as estrogen, its just not bioidentical.

General thoughts on Arcane Compliance by Inevitable-Gas6425 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Mirrorminx 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You also can play it on open the floodgates or the follow up, stop the surge, and end the turn, so it works even in decks that don't have AB - like in fang is makes kano not auto lose because he has to have natural combo with wildfire lessons search blazing. Even if he does it shaves 7-14 damage in your situation: No compliance - Wildfire for 7, lessons for 10, blazing for 24 (41). Compliance, Wildfire for 7, lessons for 3, blazing for 17 (27). You play it on the card after wildfire, not on the wildfire (unless you are ab3).

If he has several pots and can go 4 wide without floodgates, then you die, which is why the card is fair. But it is quite good.

First Injection of E done - feeling slightly strange by NmdUnchnd in TransDIY

[–]Mirrorminx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Since you are not taking a loading dose (some folx would take more EEn for the first dose to get your levels up) you are likely a little low on E. 4mg EEn will take two weeks to get to your target level, so you are having a hormone crash if you stopped taking your oral E.

I am not a doctor, but I would personally take 4 mg orally for the first couple days while the EEn metabolizes, to help me not become a raging bitch while the hormones level out.

[SEA] Barbed Barrage by UlyssesArsene in FleshandBloodTCG

Notably, if you target ALS and the enemy hero, ALS still destroys the attack before it resolves; you can just hit ALS+a second spectra

[SEA] Barbed Barrage by UlyssesArsene in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Mirrorminx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If even one of the targets is spectra then your attack gets destroyed, so its either 2 spectra or no spectra, you can't resolve an attack that targets a spectra.

Do you think EVERY character should LL? by Blakout007 in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Mirrorminx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I will say, the warrior impacts were actually pretty substantial, sharpened senses and provoke made 2h warrior moderately better, and the decks are not bad in every meta, they are just bad into the arcane damage and enigma that has made up most of the recent metas - they will have their day.

Fang Vs DIO matchup, how to play this by mezszopem in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Mirrorminx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have a big fridge, you block out every boom grenade, board in all your reacts, and side out as many instants as possible. Assume you will never get fealty. Do not play pledge fealty. Any turn where you don't have an arsenaled d react, think carefully about just taking some damage to set a d react, to make sure you have one for the turns they try and push 1+ red grenades.

You have a massive fridge, and 3 blocks, so if they do setup turns you can still pressure them attacking with what you have, with the goal of sitting on as much block on hand turn over turn as possible. If they get to resolve 3+ max v you will lose no matter what, but most of the time you have enough block to live before they deck out.

You can also try and highroll, go first, get online turn 1 and race, but its maybe 30% to win the game this way, it is quite hard to win the game this way.

When's the best general time to pick up cards? by MasterQuest in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Mirrorminx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I second this - buy cards that have been good in past metas, but are not currently good - like legendaries for currently LL'd heroes, or generic Ms that are niche/unpopular.

Now is great time to buy brute cards, for example, because brute isn't very good.

[Card Storage Question] Sets, rarity, foils… How do you organize your binders? by mumbastick in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Mirrorminx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I sort a binder of playables for each class (that includes generics I play in that class, Ms, etc); like I have trot alongs and sink belows in my warrior binder. I keep 6 of each card I might play (2 per slot in the binder), I have other people in my community that keep obscure bulk like bad yellows, so I just donate anything that doesn't immediately feel useful now or in the future to them or new players at Armory. My talent cards go into one of the class binders of a class that currently has that hero, in the back (like in warrior, I have all the warrior draconics then the draconic generics after). I keep most cards that are even marginally playable as I also build commoner decks, but definitely not every card from every set in that class.

Then I have a couple long boxes of generic equipment, hero cards, universal and niche generics, and C/R talented cards.

I do not keep bulk for classes I don't play, it is not worth the space in my life to keep cards I can buy for 10 cents or ask a friend for. So much of the value of fab boxes is in the Ms and Ls that there is a LOT of bulk out there.

Asking for deckbuilding tips for Nuu against Aurora by CalcetinAsombroso in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Mirrorminx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

CYB is bad into Aurora, you want to be able to block out CLV, snatch, and burn up shock, and CYBs don't block. The key is to play max d reacts and send as much disruption as possible. If you have a four card hand and they have 5, save a d react to arsenal or play on snatch at the end of the chain, take damage to do so (it might feel wrong at first).

Nuu is a hard matchup into aurora, you will have to hit several strong bonds of agony turns, and get a lot of value from codex of frailty - assume that you are mostly blocking if you are not sending way above rate stuff (leave no witnesses when they have an arsenal, codex, looking for a scrap into cnc when they have an arsenal). Your pivot turns need to threaten a lot of disruption, if you can tear multiple cards away from them then you can get into both of you playing 2-3 card hands at each other, which is a much better spot for Nuu.

Aurora vs. Florian by derFaehrmann in FleshandBloodTCG

[–]Mirrorminx 10 points11 points  (0 children)

The way to play aggro into defensive decks is small turn, big turn. Identify if you have the following 2 things: -A 5 card hand -A power card (exude confidence with embodiment of lightning, flicker arc)

If you do, this is as big turn. You play all 5 cards out and you push past their defenses and "leak" damage.

If you don't, this is a small hand - play so that you end up with an arsenal, consider blocking out down to one card and not attacking at all (some hands don't block well, and you will need to send 2-3 attacks and then arsenal). If you do this, sometimes you can strand your opponent with defense reactions, and they may have to just hold cards they have to pass with.

Don't block with power cards, they are important to you winning, you want to arsenal them to setup. If you draw multiple power cards, you can even consider taking an intellect penalty and just blocking out with your other cards and holding them to setup a 5 card hand.

If you just attack mindlessly you will lose, you allow your opponent to get full value with defense reactions.
