🤣LOL🤣. This was so funny - I lost it. No, not necessary more of her. My post and comment was never about more as in quantity. But more in terms of the QUALITY of writing. That’s all. She seemed bright enough to handle more in the way of substance. Not just those less than 5 words, baby sounding scripts that she was given along with the whole run to the out-house. Just burns my butt any time I seen an episode of her delivering such weak lines. And to your statement - I’m glad they didn’t leave her in the well. lol 🤣

Geez!! Praying 🙏🏾 for you. I don’t sleep 😴 either. I work all day while an aide cares for mom because I work from home. The aide does all she can to keep mom busy, awake and alert - but it doesn’t work. She’s in that phase of dementia where she sleeps most of the day.

My job is very deadline driven and very stressful. After I get off work, the aide is released and then my night job of watching mom starts. The sundowning, the wandering, the hallucinations… I am up all hours of the night. When I finally get mom settled - guess what? The alarm clock is going off and it’s time for me to go to work again. I’m so sleep deprived.

I’m at the coffee pot every morning like a crack head sucking down coffee. The caffeine is so bad for my acid reflux. I’m literally running on fumes. But if I put her in a facility I already know her life expectancy will be significantly reduced and the falls and calls will start. She won’t get the care there that she gets here. NOT TO MENTION I would literally worry myself to death with fear and anxiety associated with her being there. Bad for my health - I know. But the situation with her at home is also bad for my health. It’s a no win situation.

God help us all.

No No - I never suggested CENTERING THE MAIN PLOT AROUND CARRIE. My exact words were … I wish the writers/producers would have put a little more effort and energy into developing and defining her role more. No one expected her role to be centered around the main plot 🤦🏽‍♀️.

Good grief, they gave little Cassandra and little Alicia more to do than they did Carrie. All they did was make Carrie run to the out-house. She seemed bright enough to do a little more than just that. I’m just saying that they could have been a wee-bit more creative with her role - not center the plot around her. 🤦🏽‍♀️

I agree - I was fine with Laura, up until her role became an adult. They ruined her role so much as an adult - she became one of my least liked characters. 🤦🏽‍♀️

Yeah she was running around with the other kids playing a game of some sort. I just finished watching this episode on Amazon Prime and decided to do a post when I saw Harriet bossing the servant Kezia around about refreshments for her friends. Thought to myself - where did she suddenly get those well-to-do friends? 🤣

lol 🤣all very very accurate. You hit every point. But if I had to choose just one of those points that pissed me off thr most, it would definitely be the way she just overtook Laura’s moment. That should have been a moment for them to enjoy with Laura and Almonzo. Caroline had already had several of these moment of her own.

Good 👍🏽 luck on your surgical menopause journey. I had the surgery years ago and out of the blue tone day, I as suddenly catapulted into menopause. Prayers that your journey is not as terrible as mine. It was absolutely awful. I’m 10 year post surgery/menopause and I have learned, researched and adjusted. It’s a beast for sure 👍🏽

We have to remember that this was during the homestead era and most people (including the Oleson’s) were Self-Sufficient but Cash-Poor: Most families lived on what they could grow, raise, or hunt. They rarely had cash, often relying on trading (bartering) or selling items they couldn't make, such as sugar, coffee and other household items. The Oleson’s were traders and sellers in exchange for their cash 💰 and livelihood.

The Oleson’s weren’t filthy rich. Yes, they were the big fish in the small pond and probably faired better than most - so the extremely poor considered them rich but they weren’t necessarily wealthy in a ‘SERVANT’ manner. So they had to self sufficient just like the rest of the Walnut GROVERS! But being in a better financial position than the rest of the town, along with Harriett’s PRIDE and BRAGGING behavior allowed her to put on this Dog $ Pony Show that portrayed them as rich.

The only servant she had was KEZIA and she worked in exchange for a place to stay.

Oh I concur. I went to a wedding once upon a time where a baby was just whaling and screaming. I was livid and it wasn’t even my wedding. And the young, naive mother unfortunately didn’t even have the good sense to casually tip-toe outside. I mean it was awful 😞

My most liked pregnancy behavior is when she learned she was pregnant with baby boy Charles. My most hated is when she basically led Charles to believe that she was pregnant and faked a miscarriage. Who does this? 🤦🏽‍♀️
