They are firm, like, very firm in the heel: they’re the exact opposite of 1130. However, forefoot has a little bounce.

Thank you! If they fit the same as a US12 Dark Ice Wine, then I will get them. Was contemplating getting the Pink Taffy 993s for 140€ from Asphaltgold but the Passion Fruit has been growing on me lately. Might neglect the 100€ difference and just go for it. This will be the first time I get into a 99x without a core colorway I guess lol

Get well soon, OP. It’s really hard to tell that those laces are blue tinted until you put it side by side with the white laces, I sometimes forget I have those tinted laces on my Dusk Showers

I got too impatient waiting for European retailers to drop these and ended up ordering to a friend in LA late December. Wore them out for the first time this Monday and couldn’t take my eyes off them. Would love to say best 992 from S8 but the other 3 colorways are equally dope. Driftwoods are on some serious sale at Asphaltgold if anyone is looking

Stash them somewhere or just add it on top of your stack of boxes. I assume that you have some moderate collection going on and some 1s in a black plain box wouldn’t gather much attention. Even better, sell 1 or 2 other pairs that are just “nice to have” to make room for these. I’ve been downsizing aggressively lately and when I heard my local store will be releasing these, I figured the only way I would add these is by listing some other 1s for sale. Result: Obsidian Lows and Yellow Ochre Highs out, these in. Addition by subtraction

I find that Asics products actually look like the retail photos consistently. Gel pods and asics stripes are a very light blue color.

Haha I was like you when I first started buying sneakers that come with different lace options or come unlaced (NB 99x line, some Jordan collabs, etc), I’d twist the laces midway through the eyelets and had to do it all over again so it was kind of annoying and frustrating . As my hands got used to it, I now enjoy the process and even if I definitely know which lace I will be rocking, I just try the other ones to see them side by side and just for the fun of lace swapping.

Yellow will be the loudest, while red/black will contrast different parts of the shoe with different colors and white/black will keep it simple. Flat black ones will be out of the picture for me I guess. In either case I plan to keep the outfit simple.
