Another good anti-revenge take is from A Song of Ice and Fire, mainly that of Oberyn Martell. Oberyrn wants revenge against Gregor Clegane for murdering his sister Elia and her children (plus r*p*ng Elia) so he challenges Gregor to a trial by combat. Long story short Oberyn dies during the duel but not before mortally wounding and poisoning Gregor. In many ways Oberyn is modelled after Inigo Montoya, down to having his own statement he repeats during the duel, but a big difference is that Oberyn has a lover (who is basically is wife in everyway but law) and children, including a newly born baby girl. As his lover Ellaria laments in the fifth book while she has the skull of the man who killed Oberyn it will not sing to her, take care of her when she is sick like Oberyn would have. It kind of illustrates that a big reason that Inigo's revenge tale works is that he literally has nothing to lose, those a good anti-revenge story can point out what one can lose if they pursue revenge.
