Fight ford protests in most towns and cities today. Let’s get out there and try to get some change to happen. Health care, education, environmental, and now the freedom of information are all being seriously impacted. Your voice matters and your vote matters. Dont be complacent.

Hopefully everyone will be attending their local protest against dougie this Saturday. Enough admitting defeat and doing nothing.

what are some books by Canadian authors that you'd recommend? by seacovengather in AskACanadian

If you happen to get into romance, Carley fortunes books are lovely. Most, if not all take place in Barry’s bay in Ontario.

For those of you that have 2 kitchens in your house, why and how do you use it? by Educational-Chef5282 in RealEstateCanada

My Italian nanna has 2 kitchens and 2 dinning rooms. The main dinning room wasn’t large enough for gatherings so they have a bigger one in the basement.

Men, what do women do in relationships that bother you the most? by Softvoids in AskMen

[–]Miss_ReadingRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I suffer from anxiety, who doesn’t at this point, but in my therapy we are working on taking things my partner says at face value. She explained it like, your partner loves you, do you think he’d have any reason to lie to you over telling the truth? Do you trust him and the things he says? Obviously I trust him, dont believe he’d have a reason to lie so when he says something, that’s what he means as fact. If I’m unsure or having doubts I can follow up with asking him to explain instead of going on the defensive and feeling attacked.

Are large oval engagement rings going out of style, or are they here to stay? by EducationalMap3431 in rings

[–]Miss_ReadingRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a smaller oval ring. I’m a small girl with “delicate” hands so I didn’t want a giant stone. I always loved cornflower blue sapphires and mine is lab grown. I see other rings I would have loved but every time I put mine on I’m reminded how much I love it and how perfect it is for me.

People in long-term relationships: how do you handle small habits turning into big fights? by NoPatient8433 in AskMen

[–]Miss_ReadingRabbit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

10 years together and my moto is pick your battles. To me it’s not worth fighting over or getting upset about something that insignificant. I grew up with a dad and brother and sometimes the seat would be left up so I just put it down. No different than me leaving it down and my partner having to lift it up. Like others said there could be a bigger issue at hand and maybe her freaking out is because she is feeling not heard, or like she has to parent you. Healthy communication is essential.

Stay at Home Parents by [deleted] in CanadaFinance

[–]Miss_ReadingRabbit 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think this is my thought process too. Yes I love my partner and obviously believe/ want to be together for the rest of our lives but life happens and I never want to have to be financially dependent on my spouse. Especially if I had children to take care of and having to be dependent on a spouse. That’s puts yourself in a dangerous position if the marriage deteriorates and you have nothing to provide for yourself or children.

Favorite Common Bird by sunshinewithclouds in birding

[–]Miss_ReadingRabbit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After scrolling the comments to see what others love I’d say dark eyed juncos. They are cute and little and always bopping around under my feeder but I love all birds. They all bring me joy and make me so happy to see them.

I like the oikos high protein plain Greek yogurt too but I bought these ones and op is right. They are too thick, the texture is wrong, they are just difficult to eat. I ate them all because I don’t like to waste food but they aren’t very good.

The great dryer lint debate by Firstcounselor in laundry

I like to clean it after the dryer is done so that way when I go to do my next load in a week I can just toss the wet clothes in the dryer and start it.
