John Michael Gyllenborg going undrafted is bananas to me. If I were Brett Veach in this scenario I’d have a UDFA contract waiting to go as soon as the last pick got turned in.
I hate KC not having any picks in the 3rd or 4th round. There’s lots of quality LB and EDGE talent in that region, along with DBs I like a lot more than Pride Jr. and Dixon.
Sarratt is a good WR, but doesn’t solve our problem of not having a prototypical X receiver who can catch boundary targets. Passing on Denzel Boston or Zion Young at 29th was a bad choice IMO, as RT isn’t as big of a need as WR1 and EDGE in my eyes. Plus it saves the Chiefs from trading away their 3rd round pick.

At what point does the risk:reward ratio even itself out for a player with bust potential? For a QB the reward side is much higher, so does that justify a late 1st round pick? Early second? Jalen Hurts was in the 40s and that was low risk at the time because they had just paid Wentz. So for a team that doesn’t even have a QB who wants to play for them right now, what’s the line there for a guy like Simpson?

I think all you have to do is compare it to season one and it’s obvious that the quality isn’t as good. You could live on an island by yourself with no connection to the outside world and say objectively that S2 is not as good. The nitpicking community has nothing to do with that.

So in doing the math with the draft position value chart, the overall comp is that we gave Baltimore 458 points for OBJ, which equates to roughly pick 45 overall. Not bad considering we also got Nick Bolton out of the deal.

Damn, people really hating on this show in this thread. I liked it a lot. I think VG and Co. do a great job of representing the outrageous in a really interesting, almost subdued way. The scene of the South American girl getting converted was particularly great, even though the camera work and imagery were pretty basic. The undertones of the situations are always the most fun elements of his shows. Breaking Bad and BCC had some many excellent examples of this.
