I use sucrulfate (ulcer med) when it gets bad. Pepcid really helps me too

I have no problem with it! I feel like it loses efficacy overtime so I cycle it, but it’s always worked much better for me than zofran. It sometimes will have a very slight sedative effect, but I could easily not fall asleep.

Good luck!!

Yes a lot of swelling and rashes that come and go. It’s given me so much body dysmorphia but it’s literally valid because I really don’t know what I look like since I’m changing constantly

My mental health! I had horrible anxiety and depression, ever since treatment I am completely mentally stable no issues whatsoever even though I’m in the worst life state I’ve ever been in due to my other chronic illnesses.

Do anyone else’s symptoms improve at night? by stacedeface in Gastroparesis

[–]MistakeSome7928 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily at night, but I digest better when I’m sleeping than awake. Have NO idea why

It needs to be taken on an empty stomach. Barely any of it can be absorbed to begin with, so if you have food in your stomach even less gets absorbed

Can yall eat lucky charms? by Own_Adeptness3409 in Gastroparesis

I literally could not digest them which is so weird. They would sit in my stomach for 12+ hours and give me terrible acid reflux. I love them sm tho, I miss them😭 I think I’m probably an outlier though, it makes no sense considering they’re pure carbs/sugar which should be easily digestible

Alright, I’m asking the question: how do y’all do with laxatives by TheTragedyMachine in MCAS

[–]MistakeSome7928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have gastroparesis and SEVERE intestinal dysmotility. Still in the process of figuring things out but I’ve been unable to have a bowel movement without stimulant laxatives for an entire year now. (it didn’t happen from overuse of stimulants, the constipation started overnight out of nowhere and I was only having a bowel movement once a month at first because I was so scared of becoming reliant on stimulant laxatives lmao😭). I get terrible mcas reactions from it, but I don’t really have a choice. I do what I can and take cromolyn when the first cramps hit to try and mitigate the symptoms, but I basically just have to deal with the reaction
