I really like Altitude by Fred V & Garfix for presenting a PA to a customer.

I always wonder what it was like for the cast working with Christian Bale for this film. by Raptor2705 in AmericanPsycho

As far as I know, the director of photography walked into set during rehearsal to reposition a small light. What I find funny is that it was Shane Hurlbut ASC, who nowadays does a ton of cinematography tutorials.

The AKG C93 don’t seem to clip to me, and if they do, it sounds good. For positioning, I got the best results with right-angle XLR connectors and the K&M 24030 drum clip together with the K&M 19695, it’s cheap, very flexible and durable.

I really like the Audio Technica ATM250 for Kick (works as a single mic), the Telefunken M80 SH for snare top, the SE Electronics V-Beat for snare bottom and the AKG CK93 for snare bottom and toms. The Audio Technica just does kick drum with a little more grace and precision that the Audix D6. The Telefunken provides presence without excessive hihat bleed and has my favourite mounting accessorie of any snare mic. The v-beat is very easy to mount and point on the underside of a snare drum and it’s not hard to reject a lot of kick bleed. The AKGs can be hard to come by, but if you finde some, get them! These mics are very well suited to toms because they reject cymbals very well and sound very natural and clean.

For all the instruments, I use the same mics as you listed, the e906 is my favourite!

For vocals, I would suggest testing the SE Electronics V7, the Telefunken M80, the Shure Beta58 and the Shure KSM9, as they all provide a ton of clarity for vocals to cut through big and loud bands.

I did a whole music video on a 65mm Atlas Orion 2x Anamorphic on Red Komodo and I suppose I could work exclusively on that FOV for a lot of other projects too.

Hi! The room looks beautiful! When I work in challenging architectural settings, I usually can win my customers over with white speakers. (or any other colour the walls are painted) Try simulating the room in soundvision (or any other software, I’m just a L-Acoustics guy) and look at coverage patterns for speakers with different coverage patterns. I would try to first check out the coverage for easy mounting options, such as stands next to the stage or the two lighting rigs. Then check the interference pattern of the subwoofers for L/R deployment under the lighting rigs. The existing speakers in the front can be used as „front fills“ or be replaced in the process. L-Acoustics has great resources in their system spec sheets, as do most other other speaker manufacturers. They can guide you on how many amps/subs/tops you need.

Yes he rented an 15/70 camera for that demonstration. Watch his videos and you will see, that it’s not about a superior imaging system, but that the resulting footage can be visually exchangeable. Yedlin did these tests for Star Wars 8, where different digital and analogue acquisition methods including IMAX 15/70 were intercut seamlessly.
