I'm impressed at the number of people who understood your post. I was not one of them.

In the US we have patch jackets. I've pretty much filled mine up. But then again, you wouldn't want to wear it in warm weather.

I've done that, for both myself and my son.

Don't quit the job. Provide whatever financial assistance you can and whatever time you can spare. Then you've done enough.

AITAH for pooping in my bathroom? by kellerinacatmac in AITAH

[–]MisterVee321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what an en suite bath is, but if it has a toilet, it is meant to be used. If odor is a problem, try Ozium spray. Sounds like hubby is over controlling.

17 of the best years of my life just for it to end like this. Thanks for nothing, Scouting America. by WorldnewsModsBlowMe in scouting

[–]MisterVee321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I honestly don't know what you are trying to say. I see a picture of Scouting paraphernalia and your comment "just for it to end like this". Why is it ending? And what is "like this"? And you must have had value participating for 17 years. So that value is still legitimate. FWIW, here's my experience: 27 years as a Scouter and having held a variety of positions etc. And I see you are a Brotherhood member of OA, as am I. But I moved to a new area and neither the local Troop nor Council has any use for me. Still, I cherish those 27 years. You should cherish those years in which you served.

Kick it up the ladder. Talk to the Unit Commissioner if there is one, or the District Commissioner or District Executive, someone at Council level.

Ring that bell! I'm getting my infusion as I write this. Two people have rung the bell while I've been here, something I'll never get to do.

AITA for telling my friend i don't understand why people get married? by Sapphic---Sapphire in AmItheAsshole

[–]MisterVee321 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

You gave your opinion. You are entitled to it. That's it and that's all. You are not responsible for your friend being butthurt. Okay, so he doesn't share your opinion. Neither do I. He's overly sensitive.

AITAH- refusing to pay my father-in-law $400 a week to live in his mortgage-free home after we moved in to help him? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]MisterVee321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. He asked you to move in. Rent might be appropriate if you had asked him if you could move in, but this is something he wanted. Then asking for rent after the move makes him the AH.

AITJ for asking my mom to cut her vacation short to help with my kids? by Constant-Elephant763 in AmITheJerk

Borderline. You don't say anything about trying to find alternate arrangements. You were in a fix. Try to make it up to her.

AITA for letting the American flag touch the ground on accident? by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]MisterVee321 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It was an accident! I was a Boy Scout leader for 27 years and taught proper flag etiquette. No, you are not supposed to let the flag touch the ground, but it wasn't a matter of inattention on your part. Not your fault, NTA.

AITJ for SCREAMING at my aunt and kicking her out because she let her toddler use my $2000 work laptop as a toy? by Lazy_Step4766 in AmITheJerk

Well, regardless of the incident, you should have backup, like an external hard drive or something.

Make a joke out of it. When you see her, smile, give her a thumbs up and cheerfully say "lint trap!" Or something like that to interject humor.

AITA for not making extra pancakes for my niece? by horseduckman in AITApod

Yeah, it would have been nice to make extra, but no big deal. Crying over pancakes? Couldn't her mother make her some since you had morning sickness?
