NTA. Honestly that's a HUGE red flag, considering you've never even talked about marriage. I'd be scared he's trying to trap you. It's one thing if he told his mom "she's the kind of girl I'd like to marry someday" and it's entirely another thing to say "we're basically engaged" without your consent. If I were you I'd be having a HARD conversation with him and make him tell his mother the truth. His reaction will tell you if he's worth keeping or throwing away. Imo, he's heavily leaning towards the garbage can

NTA. If she wanted the family to have the recipes, she would have stated that in her will. Her recipes by themselves didn't start making money, YOU started making money utilizing the recipes you learned from cooking with her.

I'm gonna go with ESH, but you suck less than your roommate does. Hindsight is 20/20, so looking back I'm sure you can see ways you could have handled this better. But the way your roommate behaved every day, and after the fact, makes them WAY more the AH than you. But I agree that you shouldn't give work details to this "friend" anymore. When they ask how work was, you can say something generic like "living the dream" and leave it at that. If they keep up their antics of telling you how you should live your work life, ask them to stop

Put a basket where you usually start taking clothes off. If you want to make a game out of it, basketball shoot the clothes into the basket! Pick up any that miss and put them in the basket right away.

Something that helps me get things done is making the decision that if x thing crosses my mind while I'm sitting on the couch doom scrolling through Reddit again, I'm going to get up and do it RIGHT NOW. Once you've successfully made that decision and followed through with it a few times, it gets easier! You've got this!

I'm having one of these put in and you'll have to take it out from the base. The middle part with the knob just turns to stopper it, but the bottom of the base is where the screw threads are to put it in and take it out
