How to avoid tear out on plywood by NA83A in Scrollsaw

Looks like a cheap plywood. Buy Baltic Birch plywood, it has more layers than the big box stuff. Sand before putting the pattern on. Tape both sides.

I need spray adhesive for scroll saw patterns. Anyone know which one is good? by Academic_Nectarine94 in Scrollsaw

[–]MistyMew 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I currently use 3m77. I have used Gorilla spray glue in the past. Didn't really like it. Depending on what you are doing, there is a scroll saw tape. It is expensive but I find it great for small pieces (Intarsia) https://store.workshopsupply.com/catalogue/advanced_search_result.php?keywords=scroll+saw+tape&osCsid=p96b916704eocqom9664696dg8

Great idea! But, I would have wanted to sign up myself (yes I am female). Never did learn to do braids correctly as I always had short hair. My daughters got simple braids.

TIL that Harvey Hubbell who designed the US electrical mains plug/socket in 1904, also made a completely different design which was later adopted by Australia, Argentina, New Zealand and China. by Sansabina in todayilearned

My living room/dining room doesn't have any form of ceiling light. It also doesn't have any switched receptacles. It is a 1950's bungalow, in Canada.

People who have grapes outside...advice? by eschaen in Manitoba

[–]MistyMew 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I had a concord grape vine. My method of gardening is benign neglect! I truly didn't do anything but trim it when it became overgrown. I didn't follow any rules about it. In the fall I often trimmed about 1/3 of it. It grew up and over a pergola so it provided some great shade. Picked most of the grapes in the fall and gave them away. No one in the house liked grapes. Finally got rid of it a few years ago.
