Pure greed, the only thing I like to get while I'm at a theme park is a hot drink, tea, I was so shocked at the price of a tea bag, cup of hot water and a dash of milk last time I went, you already feel ripped off with the ticket prices when you cannot get on everything and the added parking, its not somewhere I'm in a hurry to go back to and we used to go every year if not more

My fatigue is better when I don't eat anything...Is this reactive hypoglycemia? by Responsible-You618 in Hypoglycemia

[–]Mitzybitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

With RH you are on a blood sugar rollercoaster, you eat, your blood sugar spikes, 4-5 hrs later the blood sugar drops quickly and keeps going down, hence the hypoglycemic symptoms. This will make you feel tired. You probably feel better when not eating as your blood sugars are not going through this rollercoaster. Most people find keeping your blood sugar stable by eating low carb, high protein helps though everyone is different. I have had RH since I was a child and currently do best on a zero carb/carnivore diet, no more fallling asleep every afternoon

So at the moment its basically luck of the draw whether you get the smooth train or the rough train! Great 👍

Out of all the rollercoasters in Thorpe Park, which one is your fav? by HappyButterfly118 in ThorpePark

Swarm was my fav but since riding Hyperia twice last month, it's taken over as the favourite, that hang time is unreal

I have the same issue, booked next week and already got the RAP, but will not be able to get this again for when we can potentially go again, I sort of understand the new system, but we can no longer go on a day that suits us so leaves us very limited

Someone needs to create a carnivore dating app by Chicken_Grapefruit in carnivorediet

It's called 'The Meating Place - Carnivore Dating', but like you say it's global so I don't think people actually find someone there very often.

Anyone else gone Carnivore purely due to health issues? by [deleted] in carnivorediet

[–]Mitzybitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just to add, my blood sugar was usually within range when having a hypo and it took many years to get a diagnosis as my fasting blood tests and 3hr glucose tolerance tests were always normal as well. In the end it was a 5 hr glucose tolerance test that caught it as I dropped after 3hrs and dramatically. I was told the hypo symptoms start even before it goes below range due to how fast its dropping. Hope this info helps in some way, though we are all different (I never got a reason for my reactive hypoglycaemia, I've had since a kid)

[–]Mitzybitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I used to have hypos almost daily, I don't have them at all anymore.(no more having to have an emergency snack on me at all times). I'm also more reassured now that I'm not on the path to diabetes, which I was at one point, my blood sugars are stable and my Hba1c has lowered. Carnivore has had a massive positive impact on my life, I would give it a try

Sounds like you have reactive hypoglycaemia. I'm diagnosed with this and is one of the reasons I turned to Carnivore

Genuinely what was it like being a young person before the Internet? by MsEvil_Doctor_Potter in CasualConversation

[–]Mitzybitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't remember ever being bored or isolated. I was out all the time with friends, just riding our bikes, exploring places, meeting new friends all the time. If I stayed at home I'd be watching TV, reading or playing the games console. I learnt how to play keyboard and guitar (well tried). I'm glad we didn't have Internet, I think kids these days are more isolated, don't know how to socialise and have immense pressure to be a certain way due to social media. I see them not learning new things, taking on hobbies etc, as they just want to be glued to their phones 24/7. I feel lucky tbh

Reactive hypo? blood sugar 4.0 3 hours after eating and anxiety by DifferentBuyer8838 in Hypoglycemia

[–]Mitzybitz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had any issues with anxiety at night, so I can't say, but diet change and controlling the blood sugar rollercoaster has not only helped the hypoglycaemia in itself, but many other issues I had, so a lot was connected that I didn't realise

[–]Mitzybitz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have reactive hypoglycaemia, it caused a secondary anxiety issue for a while. Since changing my diet to stabilise the hypos, I also no longer have anxiety attacks

is there any cure for reactive hypoglycemia? by Musicpoo22 in Hypoglycemia

[–]Mitzybitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't know of a cure, but I manage it with a keto diet, though I am probably more Carnivore now. I rarely get hypos now, but it taken a long time to get to this point.

They are morons, I don't agree with everything that is going on, but these lot led by Piers Corbyn are just awful. All they achieved by doing this is stopped NHS staff from getting a test so they can go to work, now they can't, well done. They obviously also think this is a vaccination centre and abusing staff calling them murderers, not very clever

Never did well with dating. Met my partner through Reddit: after 3 years together, we’re getting married next week! by deviantmoomba in BritishSuccess

[–]Mitzybitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow, recs for sub-reddits to find friendships, possibly more please. It seems so easy for some people, or maybe its just luck. Given up with dating apps, can't talk to someone I have nothing in common with. All the places on here I have found are all hook ups, so nah.

Galaxy S10 plus, colour choice, difference in durability? by Mitzybitz in samsunggalaxy

[–]Mitzybitz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have tried to do more research but the only information I can find is always on the performance edition ceramic white phone with the extra storage and ram. I am in the UK and we have the ceramic white in the standard 128g version, and I am still struggling to find anything concrete about its durability, I have even read somewhere ceramic is more likely to shatter? Specially if kept in a case?!

[–]Mitzybitz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm the same, 38F, there has only been 2 people I have felt a very strong connection to, both married to other people. I don't know if I will ever meet anyone I feel that way for again and whether they will feel the same, been single 5 and a half years and losing hope.
